Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: Previously filed a complaint against XXXX XXXX Bank for a XXXX card that was paid in full, but listed as charged off with a balance on my credit report. I wrote to the XXXX of the bank and asked for the payment ledger which was emailed with a response. Per the response I received, the account was closed with a XXXX balance. However, each credit bureau shows closed at XXXX XXXX 's request with a charged off balance. If the account was paid off in full, it can not be a charge off with a balance. I have argued that this information is incorrect with the bureaus, and yet they are still reporting inaccurately. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires accurate information be reported to the credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: I want to dispute these accounts because it was affecting my credit report, it was caused by Identity Theft. I did not make these charges. I am having problems with this unfair treatment. These accounts were taken care of with the original creditor and promised me to update it out of my report. Therefore, these accounts shouldn't be in my report. This is an error that you need to look into, so please do your investigation on this and remove or delete this account from my credit report.
