Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a 3rd party. They in fact did not come from a 3rd party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.

Issue: Problem with fraud alerts or security freezes
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I and a couple friends have had problems contacting Experian in the last several months. My current issue is that I am trying to sign up for XXXX. I finally discovered after several calls to Social Security that the reason I can not make an account is because my credit is frozen. I have tried numerous times and different ways to get through the Experian call tree, but it refuses to let me enter my PIN to unfreeze my credit or send me to an agent. I believe they are using AI to block me from reaching an agent. I may have to resort to making an online account to get signed up for XXXX as I can not get an appointment with Social Security until XXXX XXXX and my health insurance will cease to exist on XXXX XXXX. I don't hold a lot of hope that an online account will be the answer as two of my friends have online accounts and neither of them can access their accounts. One of them had an identity theft problem and was unable to reach anyone by phone at Experian. He finally contacted XXXX who contacted Experian for him as far as he knows. My other friend was being charged for an Experian membership she did not sign up for and had to get her credit card reissued to keep Experian from charging her for this membership she did not ask for because she was unable to get the problem resolved by calling Experian and unable to login to her account. Why is Experian allowed to get away with not providing phone support? All I am asking is for the freeze to be removed from my credit file so I can signup for XXXX. I shouldn't have to spend hours trying to navigate a phone tree that seems now to not send any callers to live agents.
