Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Consumer Complaint: I had moved in XX/XX/XXXX and called Experian to change my address on my credit report to the new address. Not only did they fail to do so the first time after they said it was done. I called again explaining it was not changed and the same thing happened again. I called a third time and let them know this is my third time calling, I was told it was correctly done this time and I did see an update online but when I checked my credit report I was not able to check it. I was waiting for my address to updated so I can apply for credit for a {$2000.00} pre approval credit card and was denied and was told that it was due to no address being reported on my credit report. I also was trying to obtain business funding and couldn't 've done so until it was put back on my credit report. This has been since maybe XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX and have spent months calling them complaining about this, I was finally told that the representative deleted my correct address from ( 1 ) of the two locations where my address is supposed to be placed. The one they deleted, is the one that allows myself and lenders to check my credit report. They kept telling me that I would have to mail proof of identity using license and proof of address, I did so multiple times and kept getting responses saying that they dont believe the dispute was coming from me. I was also told to file the documents online which hasnt worked for months and they were made aware as well. This was all ridiculous since Id have to waste time and money on something that was an employees mistake. They gave me NO resolutions on the phone to fix their mistake even after speaking to a manager. This has caused me a huge inconvenience and wouldve been HORRIBLE had i been trying to get a mortgage. I havent been able to check my report or apply for anything for over 4 months. Im attaching proof of letters i sent them showing proof of delivery and signature as well as their repsonse saying they dont believe its me. I need them to place my address on my credit report. Consumer Complaint: Thank you for assisting me in this matter. I would have chosen not to write this complaint and got the CFPB involved if I had other options, but unfortunately here we are. My issue stems with XXXX XXXX for XXXX separate accounts : XXXX ( balance {$260000.00} ) XXXX ( balance {$100000.00} ) I went online in XXXX of 2023 to make a payment for both of these accounts and there system was down to site maintenance. I called in the following Monday where a support representative alerted me of site maintenance and I made my payment. Unbeknownst to me, I ended up receiving a late payment with XXXX for XXXX of 2023 for both accounts. This has had a significantly negative affect on my XXXX XXXX and prevented me from doing much as I am no shackled. Normally I am not XXXX to complain, however, this is unjust and inaccurate. According to the FCRA and FCBA, this information should be corrected and removed from my report. I have attempted to dispute these late payments several time to no real avail : XX/XX/2023 XX/XX/2023 XX/XX/2023 XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023 I decided to be more proactive and attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt and called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2023. I alerted them that I had disputed the late payments on my credit report form them because they are inaccurate due to their site being down for maintenance. The support representative agreed that that was the case and made notes in my file and stated that they would correct it. I asked if I should dispute the late payments with the Credit bureaus again and they stated it wasn't necessary but I could if I wanted to. We are not 3 months past this conversation, several attempts at rectifying this with the bureaus and my Credit still being affected by their blatant mistake. This has caused extreme mental anguish as I am not capable at borrowing at the rates I deserve, rather what XXXX XXXX error states I deserve. I wanted to shine a light on these practices hoping that I can get these late payments removed because the error is not on me, yet on them.

Consumer Complaint: This company is reporting late payments for XXXX and XXXX of 2023 and has failed to provide any verifiable proof within 30 days of my requests to do so. Pursuant to 15 USC 1666b a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open and consumer credit plan as late for any purpose, unless the creditor has adopted reasonable procedures designed to ensure that each periodic statement including the information required by section 1637 b of this title is delivered to the consumer not later than 21 days. I never gave any written instructions to furnish this data which is a violation of 15USC 1681b. They must comply with 15USC SEC 1681li ( a ) and I am gathering all of this information with help from my attorneys for further litigation. I demand said late payments be removed immediately from my consumer report.
