Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX XXXX, am a natural living person. I am writing to dispute certain information present on my credit report, which I believe is inaccurate. This dispute is based on the provisions outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including 15 U.S. Code 1681a, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2, and 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ). According to 15 U.S. Code 1681a, the definition of a consumer report excludes reports containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the reporting entity. It is evident that the information in dispute falls under this exclusion. Furthermore, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2 emphasizes the responsibility of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies. The law stipulates that furnishers must provide accurate information and prohibits reporting with actual knowledge of errors. In addition, 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ) supports my claim by specifying exclusions from the definition of a consumer report, highlighting the relevance of the disputed information to this exclusion. I am also placing a FTC reference number- XXXX XXXXXXXX so that you can verify the inaccuracy of fraud that is placed on my credit report. Now based on the provisions mentioned above, I kindly request an investigation into these discrepancies and urge prompt action to rectify the inaccuracies. As per my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I also request that you provide me with a written explanation of the results of your investigation. Enclosed are copies of documents supporting my claim for your review. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and request that the inaccurate information be corrected or removed from my credit report at the earliest.

Consumer Complaint: As per the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) under 15 USC 1681, section 602 ( a ), it emphasizes the importance of ensuring that consumer reporting agencies fulfill their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and respect for consumers ' rights to privacy. Notable agencies in this context include XXXX, Experian, and XXXX, with the individual asserting their rights as a consumer. The right to safeguard private information is supported by 15 USC 6801, which declares the Congress 's policy that financial institutions have an ongoing duty to uphold customer privacy and protect the confidentiality of nonpublic personal information. Under the FCRA, entities providing information to credit agencies, referred to as " Furnishers of information to credit agencies, '' are considered financial institutions. According to 15 USC 1681, section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ), consumer reporting agencies are permitted to furnish a consumer report only in compliance with the written instructions of the respective consumer. The individual asserts that neither the financial institution nor the consumer reporting agencies ( XXXX, Experian, and XXXX ) have received their consent to furnish this information, be it verbal, non-verbal, written, implied, or otherwise, and revokes any and all consent. Referring to 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( e ), the individual highlights that a financial institution can not disclose nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties without informing the consumer of their right to exercise a nondisclosure option. The Furnisher of information to credit agencies failed to provide such information. Additionally, 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) prohibits consumer reporting agencies from including certain adverse information in a consumer report without proper authorization, and the individual claims that the reported account is adverse and has been reported without their permission, violating the law. Under 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), it is stated that a person must not furnish inaccurate information to a consumer reporting agency. Section 1681e mandates consumer reporting agencies to maintain reasonable procedures to avoid violations of FCRA sections 1681c and 1681b. The individual argues that XXXX, Experian and XXXX are not adhering to these reasonable procedures. Furthermore, 12 CFR 1016.7 allows a consumer to opt out of reporting services at any time. The individual concludes by exercising their right to opt out of the reporting services provided by the mentioned agencies. Please Remove from my Credit Reports Immediately : All unauthorized inquiries from my credit report.
