Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Consumer Complaint: On Tuesday, XX/XX/, I received an email notification from Experian informing me that my XXXX credit score had been lowered from exceptional to very good. This change was unexpected and concerning, as there have been no recent changes in my financial behavior that would justify such a decrease. I have not taken out new credit, nor have I made any late payments. My credit reports are consistently frozen across all three credit reporting agencies, including Experian, as a precautionary measure. In an attempt to understand the reason behind this sudden drop in my score, I contacted Experian 's customer service. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely frustrating and unproductive. The automated phone system put me through a redundant loop of voice prompts, none of which addressed my concerns or led to a live representative. When the prompt asked if I wanted to remove the freeze on my credit file, I declined, as my query was unrelated to the security freeze. Despite repeated attempts to speak with a human representative by saying " representative, '' the system failed to provide any assistance, giving the impression of a deliberately broken system designed to avoid customer interaction. This experience has not only caused me undue stress but also raises serious concerns about Experian 's accountability and commitment to customer service. The lack of transparency and inability to contact a representative for an issue as critical as a credit score change is unacceptable. I am requesting a thorough investigation into the reason behind the decrease in my credit score and an improvement in Experian 's customer service, particularly in providing accessible and efficient support to consumers. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and inform me of the steps being taken to address these issues. Experian Membership ID # XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and Experian. I am writing to file a complaint regarding inaccurate information on my consumer credit report, specifically related to the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX account number XXXX. I am deeply concerned about the inclusion of unauthorized and inaccurate data, which I believe violates both state and federal laws governing the protection of non-public personal information. Under Georgia law and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I assert my right to privacy and the accuracy of information within my consumer profile. I did not provide written consent for the reported late payment remarks in XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of 2023. I insist on the correction of this information and the removal of derogatory remarks, updating the account status to " paid as agreed '' with no record of late payments. I want to emphasize that all information within my consumer profile requires explicit authorization, and I do not recall granting such consent to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I believe this unauthorized access to my non-public personal information is a violation of my privacy rights. In accordance with federal law, particularly the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I request that XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX ceases furnishing my non-public personal information to third parties, including but not limited to Experian, XXXX, and XXXX. Please refer to the specific codes outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act to support this request. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and request a thorough investigation into the inaccuracies reported. I trust that your intervention will ensure the correction of my consumer profile and uphold the principles of privacy and accuracy as mandated by applicable laws. Once the investigation is complete, I would like a comprehensive breakdown of the information shared between Experian and XXXX XXXX Bank regarding my consumer information.
