Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX, am a natural living person. I am writing to dispute certain information present on my credit report, which I believe is inaccurate. This dispute is based on the provisions outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including 15 U.S. Code 1681a, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2, and 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ). According to 15 U.S. Code 1681a, the definition of a consumer report excludes reports containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the reporting entity. It is evident that the information in dispute falls under this exclusion. Furthermore, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2 emphasizes the responsibility of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies. The law stipulates that furnishers must provide accurate information and prohibits reporting with actual knowledge of errors. In addition, 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ) supports my claim by specifying exclusions from the definition of a consumer report, highlighting the relevance of the disputed information to this exclusion. I am also placing a FTC reference number- # XXXX so that you can verify the inaccuracy of fraud that is placed on my credit report. Now based on the provisions mentioned above, I kindly request an investigation into these discrepancies and urge prompt action to rectify the inaccuracies. As per my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I also request that you provide me with a written explanation of the results of your investigation. Enclosed are copies of documents supporting my claim for your review. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and request that the inaccurate information be corrected or removed from my credit report at the earliest.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against Experian for the mishandling of disputes on my credit report, which I believe violates my consumer rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted a dispute to Experian via their online Document Upload Form, contesting the accuracy of the following items on my credit report : Bankruptcy XXXX, Bankruptcy XXXX, Bankruptcy XXXX, and an unrecognized inquiry from XXXX XXXX Bank dated XX/XX/XXXX. Additionally, I disputed incorrect and outdated personal information. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received notification from Experian to review my dispute results online. To my dismay, the public records remain unchanged, only the personal information was updated, and there was no resolution regarding the inquiry. Experian claims that the company reporting the public records certified the accuracy of the information. However, I previously contacted XXXX, the third-party vendor providing public record information to Experian. I received a response from XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX, confirming they filed a dispute with Experian on XX/XX/XXXX and removed the disputed information from my XXXX file. XXXX also noted that as of the date of the letter, they had not received any response from Experian regarding the dispute. Consequently, it's evident that Experian 's claims of receiving certification from XXXX are questionable. Given that these public records are not present in my XXXX consumer report, Experian could not have received certification about their accuracy. Moreover, Experian 's lack of response to XXXX indicates that these public records are unverifiable. I have enclosed copies of my dispute sent to Experian, the investigation results from Experian, and the response from XXXX for your review.
