Consumer Complaint: I have successfully disputed and resolved similar issues with other credit reporting agencies, and they have promptly updated their records. However, I am puzzled as to why your bureau has not complied with the law and corrected this error. The inaccurate reporting pertains to XXXX XXXX, and I believe it is a result of an error rather than my failure to make a timely payment. I reported this discrepancy to your bureau on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, and I have submitted all required documentation to support my claim. It is perplexing to me that while other credit reporting agencies were able to accurately report my credit history and remove the late account, your bureau has not taken similar corrective action. I request that you promptly investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to correct the inaccurate reporting of the late account on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Ive contacted the bank in regards to this matter. They claimed its been resolved. Ive contact the law enforcement agency and filed a report and affidavit. They claim they identity theft report is valid. And lastly, Im contact the credit reporting agencies. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX DELETE!!! EQ and XXXX have already removed this account from their records. Both XXXX and XXXX have removed the accounts per legal requirement. But for some weird reason Experian feels XXXX not following all the steps. I know the consumer laws and the courts are very lenient with the banks and credit reporting agencies so filing a lawsuit is a waste of energy. They make some absurd claim that the documents Ive submitted are not valid. Id like the CFPB to honestly look closely at this case because it seems this is a lack of their legal requirement to process the identity theft report.

Consumer Complaint: This issue is regarding the reporting of student loans on my credit report because they are a clear violation of my rights under 20 USC 1232g - the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) and the provisions of the Privacy Act of XXXX. I believe that my request for removal of these student loans from my credit report aligns with my rights as per 20 USC 1232g, which states in part, " No funds shall be made available under any applicable program to any educational agency or institution which has a policy or practice of releasing education records ( or personally identifiable information contained therein, other than directory information, as defined in paragraph ( XXXX ) ) of students without the written consent of their parents to any individual, agency, or organization. '' Furthermore, Section XXXX of the Privacy Act XXXX provides individuals with the right to access their records and request amendments if they believe that the data is inaccurate, irrelevant, untimely, or incomplete. Specifically, it states that, " Each agency that maintains a system of records shall ... maintain all records which are used by the agency in making any determination about any individual with such accuracy, relevance, timeliness, and completeness as is reasonably necessary to ensure fairness to the individual in the determination. '' As a federally protected consumer, I have the right to have the correct information reported accurately on my report and Experian, XXXX, and XXXX ; by way of XXXX and the Department of Education, have been misusing my credit file by reporting my student loans, without my expressed written consent. So per the FCRA and 15 USC 6802e ( 2 ), because they do not have my consent, I am opting out of them reporting student loan information on my credit report, effective immediately.
