Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: I trust this message reaches you amidst your responsibilities. It is with profound dismay that I write to bring to your attention the distressing findings of my recent investigation into my credit report, courtesy of your agency. Upon careful scrutiny, I have unearthed unverifiable, invalidated, inaccurate, and questionable items that your agency has negligently failed to ensure were reported with 100 % accuracy. This discovery has not only inflicted severe emotional distress upon me but has also highlighted a blatant disregard for the regulations outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act. As you are undoubtedly aware, the Fair Credit Reporting Act mandates a 100 % accuracy standard for all information on credit reports. Regrettably, the accounts in question, as identified under 15 U.S Code 1681e ( b ) and 15 U.S. Code 1681i ( 5 ), are in clear violation of this federal statute. Attached herewith are copies of all previous correspondences sent in a futile attempt to rectify these glaring inaccuracies. I demand immediate action to rectify these violations and ensure the accurate reporting of my credit information. Failure to comply will leave me with no alternative but to pursue all available legal avenues to protect my rights. I anticipate your swift response outlining the concrete steps being taken to address and correct these inaccuracies within the next 10 days. Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have recently noticed fraudulent activity on my credit reports. What I have found, has led me to believe I may be a victim of identity theft, as I did not approve any information to be used in my name. I am requesting that these fraudulent items be deleted from my credit report at your earliest convenience. I actually have a security freeze on my accounts which should have alerted me prior to my credit being ran. I did not receive any notification or alert to my credit being ran for these accounts which is concerning. These fraudulent items are reporting inaccuracies which is directly impacting my relationships with creditors as I am going through the home buying process. I have reported the theft of my identity to the Federal Trade Commission, please review the enclosed copies of the Federal Trade Commission 's Identity Theft Affidavit in regards to this incident. Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a 3rd party. They in fact did not come from a 3rd party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.
