Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I pulled up my credit files from each credit agency, XXXX, Experian and XXXX. Each of these agencies are reporting accounts that do not belong to me. The accounts are listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX with account number # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX with account number # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX with account number # XXXX, XXXX XXXX under account number # XXXX. I have requested each credit agency to provide me with contracts that bear my signature that I signed for these accounts. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), a debt collector must respond to a request for a debt validation letter. If they don't, they're in violation of the act. I will be filing a complaint as well to Maryland State Attorney General Office. The dates the information was requested is XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023. As of today I have not gotten anything from any of the credit reporting agencies.
