Consumer Complaint: I am sending this request to bring to your attention an issue with my credit report that requires your immediate attention. Upon reviewing my credit report, I noticed that an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX is still being reported in my Experian report, even though it was bought by another creditor. I believe this is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and I request that you investigate and correct this error. The account in question is listed below : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Date Opened : XX/XX/2015 Balance : {$0.00} The FCRA requires that credit reporting agencies provide accurate and up-to-date information in consumer reports. Inaccurate reporting, such as the failure to reflect the change in ownership of the account, violates this provision.
