Are all in violations of 15 USC 1681 ( a ) Accuracy and fairness of credit reporting The Congress makes the following findings : ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. 15USC 6802 ( b ) Opt out ( 1 ) In general A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless ( A ) such financial institution clearly and conspicuously discloses to the consumer, in writing or in electronic form or other form permitted by the regulations prescribed under section 6804 of this title, that such information may be disclosed to such third party ; ( B ) the consumer is given the opportunity, before the time that such information is initially disclosed, to direct that such information not be disclosed to such third party ; and ( C ) the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. Privacy act 1974. These are reported as charged off which are considered income and income is not legally reported to my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: My student loans used to be handled by a lending company called XXXX but after I started XXXX for the XXXX and qualified for student loan forgiveness they transferred my loan to a company called XXXX. I have two issues now because XXXX is continuing to report my student debt as well as XXXX so it appears I have twice as much student loan debt on my report than I actually do.. also XXXX has been violated by the Biden administration and my account is in mandatory forbearance pending my income driven repayment agreement which should be set at XXXX continuing once the issue is resolved but XXXX is reporting that my payments are deferred and they keep adding interest to the balance in my credit report but there is supposed to be no interest during the forbearance. I would like XXXX to quit reporting and have it removed from my report and I would like a XXXX to report accurately and update everything but I have had no luck and it has caused me to be denied for a mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: 15 USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) clearly states that transactions between the consumer and the Person/Corporation making the report is NOT included on the consumer reports. Yet XXXX, XXXX XXXX Equifax is reporting this information. The reporting of excluded information pursuant to 15 USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) on a consumer report is a clear violation of Metro2 compliance. Provide me with the Metro2 compliance disclosure on reporting transactions to a consumer reporting agency. I need the transactions reporting as late, collection/charge-off status and any other derogatory information deleted from my consumer reports effective immediately. Before you think to reply that this account has been validated, lets be clear that I am not asking you to validate or verify anything. So please do not respond by telling me that as a tactic to waste my valuable time. Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt. XXXX, XXXX, Equifax and the creditors reporting collections/Charge-Offs, late payments/other derogatory information in my consumer report are in violation of 26 USC ss 6050P Returns Relating to the Cancellation of Indebtedness By Certain Entities. If this derogatory account information is not deleted from my consumer reports within 30 days, I will be forced to officially file IRS form 3949A : Information Referral AND IRS form 211. Consumer Complaint: I am writing to request the removal of the following account from my credit report due to identity fraud : Creditor Name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Partial Account Number : XXXX I am requesting that this account be immediately removed from my credit report in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I have already taken the necessary steps to report the fraudulent activity to the appropriate authorities and have included a copy of the proof of identification / address and the police report/ FTC identity theft report with this letter. I understand that it may take some time for the fraudulent accounts to be removed from my credit report. However, I am requesting that you provide me with written confirmation that the accounts have been removed within 7 days of receiving this letter. 15 U.S. Code $ 1681c-2 a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information that resulted from an alleged identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt. These accounts should not be furnished on my consumer report as they are in VIOLATION!!! Under, 15 U.S Code 1681b - Permissible purposes of consumer reports ( a ) IN GENERAL Subject to subsection ( c ) any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : ( 2 ) In accordance with the WRITTEN INSTRUCTION of the consumer to whom it relates. Consumer Complaint: Despite my previous 4 written requests, the unverified items listed below still remain on my credit report in violation of Federal Law. They stated in their responses to my 4 dispute letters that they have verified that the items listed are accurate but they failed to send me copies of the documents that they used to verify these accounts as per my request. The fact that they have ignored my request to send me copies of the documents that they used to verify the disputed accounts is evidence that they can not and did not verify any of the disputed accounts like they said they did. Their failure to delete the disputed accounts that they can not verify after two written requests is also evidence of their willful disregard of Federal Law.

Consumer Complaint: There is information that on my consumer report that is a result of identity theft. I did not provide written permission of instructions for the identified transactions to be reported on my consumer report. I am requesting that the reporting of this information be blocked and deleted. As a federally protected consumer I'm seeking proof of the alleged debt, under the doctrine of estoppel by silence, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I may presume that no proof of the alleged debt, nor therefore any such debt, in fact exists. In a good faith effort to resolve this matter amicably, I demand for proof of the debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature in wet ink, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must terminate this collection action and correct any erroneous reports of this debt as mine. Consumer Complaint: The credit reporting bureaus eq XXXX and XXXX failed to delete innaccurate acct information. Specifically XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX created a new acct without my authorization added two years to the original deliquency. Intimidated me with threats of lawsuits as a XXXX XXXX I am entitled to fair protection from abusive practices. I paid in settlement 6 credit balances in exchange for agreement to remove the negative reporting and the 2 collection accts I refuse to pay since I have no relationship to them and they add extra fees of close to {$2000.00}. This is an abuse under the regulations of fcra. Since the credit bureaus have not responded to my requests I would like to ask cfpb to help resolve this, I am unable to get a loan now which means no transportation. no employment and this makes unnecessary hardship to pay my property taxes and support my family thru school. Its very disheartening because I know there have been recent class actions against XXXX XXXX and eq as well as portfolio and security credit services yet they persist in flagrant violations because of profits received at consumer expense and and somehow manage to pay huge litigation costs and settlements yet continue to flout the laws and regulations which provide equity to lowly consumers.

Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter regarding inaccurate and unknown things on my credit report. To this day over 30 days later I have not received a response yet. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of and being ignored of my disputes. Section 611 ( a ), it is plainly stated that a failure to investigate these items within 30 days gives a reason to immediately remove those items from my credit report it has been over 30 days so they should be deleted promptly. I demand these accounts be deleted immediately or I will file for litigation due to the stress you caused me. My information was also impacted by the Equifax, XXXX and XXXX data breach and may have got into the hands of the wrong person.
