Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: I hope this letter finds you well. I am reaching out to express my dissatisfaction regarding certain hard inquiries that persist on my credit report, as outlined in your recent correspondence. While I understand that the involved creditor has their own internal fraud processes, it remains troubling that Equifax permitted these inquiries without securing my explicit consent. Consumer Complaint: As stated in the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 Section 602, it is decisive for consumer reporting agencies like Equifax and XXXX to carry out their responsibilities with fairness, unbiased, and respect for the consumer 's right to privacy. As the consumer, I have the right to make certain that my private information is not shared, as supported by section 6801 of the same Act. This section emphasizes that financial institutions, including the entity furnishing information to credit agencies, have an ongoing obligation to protect the privacy and confidentiality of their customers ' nonpublic personal information. Section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ) of the Act states that consumer reporting agencies may only furnish a consumer report under specific circumstances, one of which is when they receive written instructions from the consumer to whom the report relates. In this case, neither the financial institution nor the consumer reporting agencies, Equifax and XXXX, have my consent to furnish this information, let alone my written consent. Therefore, any previous consent given to Equifax, XXXX, or the furnisher of information to credit agencies, whether it was verbal, non-verbal, written, implied, or otherwise, is hereby revoked. Furthermore, section 6802 ( b ) ( c ) of the Act states that a financial institution can not impart nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is provided with an explanation of how they can exercise their right to nondisclosure. However, the furnisher of information to credit agencies failed to inform me of my right to exercise this nondisclosure option. Furthermore, section 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) specifies that no consumer reporting agency may include any adverse item of information in a consumer report, except as authorized under subsection ( b ). In conclusion, it is evident that the actions taken by Equifax, XXXX, and the furnisher of information to credit agencies are in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. As the consumer, I expect my rights to privacy and covertly to be respected, and I demand that immediate corrective measures be taken to rectify this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I am disputing the presence of this bankruptcy on my credit report due to discrepancies in the filing and reporting dates, as well as the closing dates. This is troubling as I possess a court letter explicitly stating that this bankruptcy should not be reported. Moreover, the involvement of an unauthorized third party adds to the absurdity of the situation.

Consumer Complaint: Hello. I am writing to file this complaint because the accounts that I am reporting to be removed are still in my credit report and causing me a lot of damage. ALL OF THESE ACCOUNT ARE VIOLATING 15 USC 1681b- permissible purposes. These credit bureaus do not have a permissible purpose to report these fraudulent items on my report without my consent. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract - any accounts that you post on a credit report. In this case, I have not seen any proof provided by these bureaus so they must delete the following accounts.
