Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I attended a social gathering and purses/wallets were stolen by event staff. Police were notified and report was made. I was advised to monitor my credit report in the future. I recently pulled a copy of my credit report and noticed a slew of accounts I have no knowledge of, affiliation, or relationship with. I also discovered someone has been applying and attempting to obtain lines of credit in my name. I immediately contacted the CRAs ( XXXX, Equifax, and XXXX ) in XX/XX/XXXX. I informed them of the incident from XXXX along with the account I discovered. I contacted all agencies via phone and by mail. It has now been over 60 days and no accounts have been verified but are still reporting to my profile which is now in violation of the FCRA, specifically 15 USC 1681. NO INFORMATION SHOULD BE FURNISHED TO MY PROFILE WITHOUT MY WRITTEN CONSENT. Furnishing account due to Identity Theft further violates 15 USC 1681 c-2. No accounts due to identity theft should be reporting to my profile. The accounts being reported to my profile that I have no knowledge of are : XXXX XXXX ( {$190.00} ), XXXX XXXX ( {$1400.00} ), XXXX ( {$980.00} ), XXXX XXXX XXXX {$610.00} ), XXXX XXXX ( {$260.00} ), XXXX XXXX ( {$450.00} ), AND XXXX ( {$500.00} ). Consumer Complaint: On Equifax XXXX Credit Report there are Inquiries that do not belong to me. The Inquiries are for XX/XX/2023. The inquiries are a result of accounts there were fraudulent and the accounts were removed. These inquiries belong to the account that has been deleted & removed. I'm disputing the Inquiries because Equifax received both Police & FTC Identity Theft Reports in XX/XX/2023 via XXXX XXXX Mail. Equifax has received all other documents in XXXX to prove my identity was used against me which is reason the account was removed. The account was XXXX XXXX & these are the inquiries that belonged to the account. I've disputed over dozens of time to have the inquiries removed. Equifax refuses. I had credit monitoring with Equifax for over 3 years prior to XX/XX/2023. While disputing the accounts, I continued to pay for monthly credit monitoring. I became a victim of Identity Theft while paying for credit monitoring. There are consequences of Equifax for allowing the thief to report to my credit file after they received info of claims to Identity theft along with document which proves this.
