Consumer Complaint: I requested verification from collection agency about a debt from XXXX XXXX. They were not able to verify the information so they notified me by letter that they will be notifying the bureaus about deleting the debt. I also receive an email from the manager that works for XXXX that they requested deletion. All bureaus deleted except Equifax. All other updated the information. I contacted Equifax spoke to a manger. I disputed it online and they said the debt was verified, Equifax. The manager told me they dont look at the disputes on line and that the letter and proof does not matter you owe. I told him the law. He said it does not matter and it will stay. I have attached proof of all correspondence
