Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEM regarding a collections account ( Account Number XXXX ) that appears on my credit report. I believe that the handling of this account by XXXX XXXX violates my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), specifically Section 809 ( a ) ( 15 USC 1692g ), which mandates the validation of debt upon a consumer 's request. I sent them a letter because Midland Credit Management advised that XXXX is the original creditor. I contacted both of them requesting information ( debt validation ) that this debt belongs to me. XXXX just keeps emailing me stating that they do not own the account and to contact Midland Credit Management. Midland is only sending billing statements which is not a debt validation. I request to have signed original agreement, payment history, proof that they are able to collect in my state. Neither are providing me information and this needs to be deleted immediately.

Consumer Complaint: My husband, XXXX XXXX, and I were in XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and the condition for staying at a discounted fee at XXXX XXXX was attending a timeshare presentation. It was high pressure and it turns out we were given fraudulent information. We signed for a time share with 3 credit cards opened for the down payment using my name, XXXX XXXX, and credit information. By the time we got back home I realized there was likely fraud and with XXXX and I tried to cancel the XXXX contract, which they refused, and I contacted all the credit cards ; XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX to not follow through with the line of credit. XXXX and XXXX complied and XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me a letter saying that they hoped to do business in the future if I changed my mind but went ahead and opened the credit for {$16000.00} anyway. With fees at the time of charge off : {$17000.00} I contacted them many times by phone and mail with a copy of the letter, attached, that states that they regret not doing business with me but look forward to doing business with me in the future if I change my mind. They continued to call and send mail trying to collect the debt from me. Eventually they sold the " debt '' to Midland Credit Management Inc who has been trying to collect since XXXX. Today I was served by the Sheriff with court papers here in XXXX XXXX XXXX. I live full time in XXXX XXXX and pay taxes in XXXX XXXX. and XXXX State. I stay part time with no current lease in XXXX XXXX XXXX were I have a small non profit and am here sporadically and do have a XXXX drivers license because I get discounted rates for my non profit but my main residence is in XXXX XXXX. In addition my husband has been notified that the XXXX timeshare is now under international investigation for fraud and we are party to it as victims of fraud. XXXX and Midland put this on my credit report but when I reported this along with the letter I have attached here to the credit bureaus the negative report was rescinded and my credit score today is XXXX by XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I disputed the collection with the the collection agency my claim shows evidence of identity theft from a police report, and everything reported should be shown as accurate. Per Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), you are required by federal law to verify any and all accounts posted on my credit report, and only report accurate information. I request all verifiable proof you have on file for the listed following account with original documents/wet signatures and no screen shots. These delinquent account record is inaccurate. I also spoke with a representative and felt very threaten and harassed with the language of the rep. This is very unexceptionable, this is causing mental anguish. Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management. On XX/XX/2023, I sent a cease and desist contact letter. I receive calls every day from this company. There are no delinquent account on any of my credit reports. The company does not leave messages, nor do they send anything in writing. Its been over two months and they continue to call me almost daily despite the written cease and desist letter mailed on XX/XX/2023. I have blocked no less than a dozen numbers all registered to Midland Credit Management. I have no idea how many different phone numbers they have, but every time I block one, they call from a different one.

Consumer Complaint: MIDLAND has violated Federal laws concerning the use of private information. MIDLAND is obligated by the FDCPA to report accurate accounting, consumer has been attempting to resolve an issue by requesting MIDLAND to provide documentation used to determine that all disputed negative accounts were verified, consumer is requesting how it was verified and who verified them info on what language is being used and an updated presentment communicating in a living language. If MIDLAND isn't able to provide said items, negative accounts must be removed immediately. Consumer has attempted to resolve this matter for over a year, Consumer is providing 3 days to verify alleged debt MIDLAND you are interfering with commerce and this is a Federal Crime.
