Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management is reporting a more than 4 year old account that has never been validated, is past the statute of limitations, was charged off by the creditor and taken as profit and loss account by the original creditor. The original account was for XXXX XXXX XXXX. Midland Credit Management is employing unethical tactics such as re-aging the account. This should be shown as a charge off. They show monthly late payments over 90 days each and every month to make the account look currently late each month which is only an attempt to do the most harm to my credit. It is purposely inaccurate and is a misrepresentation ( XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I have contacted Midland requesting validation, and informed them of their errors but they ignored my requests and my disputes. They made no attempt to validate, correct or stop during a dispute period. Instead they show on the report that they opened a collection XX/XX/XXXX and that it was last active XX/XX/XXXX with late payments made every single month since XX/XX/XXXX when no payments have ever been made. There actions violates several laws including but not limited to FCRA 15 U.S.C. 1681c, US Court of Appeals, XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit Management contacted us about monies supposedly owed to other creditors. We indicated, at the time of the initial call, that some of the monies were indeed owed, but not all. Midland failed to provide proof of what they were attempting to collect. We offered a settlement offer, based on what we felt we owed, to clear it up, but they refused to be reasonable. Not only did they refuse our attempts to settle, but they continued calling us even after we told them to stop. Calls came in before XXXX our local time, and after XXXX. They just wouldn't stop. We've even took several of their illegal phone calls just to try and settle the account. They wouldn't budge, and just continue to call. This is harassment. They've now filed a lawsuit, and continue to call, even though we've told them to stop.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, my ex girlfriend of 4 years and I ended our relationship. However she had access to all of my sensitive personal information. From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, there were several failed attempts at using this information to create loan or credit accounts. However it seems like there was one account for {$1000.00} that managed to slip through the cracks. I was notified about this from my XXXX alert center and have been working with them to do everything in my power to resolve this. I have attached an admission of guilt after she was caught destroying my home computer by a mutual friend.

Consumer Complaint: Debt was paid off in XX/XX/2021. I called midland funding in XX/XX/2021 and they told me it would be deleted the following month. They have been reporting to my credit report that I still owe the balance in XX/XX/2021, XX/XX/2021, and XX/XX/2021. I have disputed the account and they are still saying I owe the balance. Midland Funding, LLC. Is falsely reporting to the credit bureaus.
