I previously request debt validation via certified mail and advised that I am a victim of identity theft. Your office failed to respond to my debt validation request. For the record, I have no knowledge of this account. I am a victim of identity theft and did not open this account. I am requesting that this account be removed from my personal credit report, as this account was opened fraudulently. Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding is a collection agency that repeatedly adjusts the amount of the debt in order to keep it active. They reduce it {$1.00} then raise it {$1.00} in attempts to circumvent the aging out of the account. Due to that nefarious practice, Midland Funding, by continually adjusting the amount of the debt, is creating damage to my credit score on a regular basis. The actual amount of the debt claimed is being fraudulently manipulated. Midland Funding is habitually violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act enforced by the FTC.

Consumer Complaint: Midland Credit harasses me by calling 2-4 times a day every day. I block their number and they just obtain new numbers to call me with. The debt they are trying to collect is over 10 years old. They call on weekends before XXXX and sometimes call 2-3 times in a row within seconds. That is harrasment and it is bothersome to my work day. I have pictures of call logs and of their calls and am considering legal action for harrasment.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX when a financial company ran my credit report at my request I found out that MIDLAND FUNDING is claming that I owe them money and I reporting a collection on my credit report. I was told that MIDLAND FUNDING is a collection agency who usually handles XXXX XXXX. They're stating that collection account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX on the amount of {$420.00}. During all these years I never received any letters, any phone calls or any form of communication from this company in their attempt to collect the alledged debt from me. All these years I was fully covered by the medical insurance provided by my employer and prior to that I was under Medical. I am unable to provide any letters to support my claim since MIDLAND FUNDING never made any attempt to contact me. This company made no attempt to reach out to me since this is not my account and they are wronfully reporting this on my credit. They are predators taking advantage of people like me who do not know how and that they can fight back.

Consumer Complaint: I got a credit report and saw where Midland Credit Collections has sent reports to the three credit bureaus especially XXXX sometimes twice daily for at least 12 months or so. I just happened to have fraud on a company trying to secure {$18000.00} for computers. It was rejected and I received a letter informing me about this. This prompted me to ask for free credit reports. On the reports, I saw where my score was lowered to poor because Midland Credit Collections would send in inquiries twice a day for at least maybe 2 yrs more or less. I only noticed it when there was fraud on my account. Also, my info is on the dark web, whatever that is and my info has been exposed on several data breaches. Being a senior, I didnt know what was going on. But I do know my credit score has been impacted.
