Consumer Complaint: Midland Funding company only will send a copy of a credit card statement as validation of the debt. I have asked for them to send me a copy of a signed agreement with Midland Funding and myself. Also, they keep changing the amount owed each time I dispute the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX they reported to the credit bureau for account # XXXX amount {$3300.00} after I disputed it. On XX/XX/XXXX they changed the amount to {$3300.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX they changed the amount to {$3300.00}. on account # XXXX they reported on XX/XX/XXXX amount owed {$750.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX amount owed {$750.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX amount owed {$750.00}. The also have removed the previous information to make it appear that this is a current debt. They also did the same on account # XXXX.

They have used skip tracing tactics to contact me a family member of the person they are seeking. I have on several calls told them to stop contacting me and remove my number, they ignore these requests and spoof a fake number every time they call me.

Consumer Complaint: Upon review of my credit report from all 3 credit beuros I noticed several inconsistencies with the dates open, dates closed and reported. I have asked the companies to investigate and confirm everything is accurate and they state everything is accurate. 15 use 1681 sec 1 states I have the right to privacy 15 use 1681 sec 2 states consumer agency credit can not furnish account without written instructions. I believe my rights have been violated and negative reports have inaccuracies. I am requesting that you investigate on my behalf and remove all negative reports from my credit report from all 3 credit reports.

Consumer Complaint: my name is XXXX XXXX i am writing you once again to complain about midland credit management a dept collector for violating my rights yet again as i have written this dept collector in the past and asked that this so called dept be validated and clearly i am feeling harassed and also in a deep XXXX over these tactics. the law states 15USC 1692 ( C ) ( A ) a dept collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with any dept they are also in violation of 15USC 1692 ( B ) ( 2 ) AND ( B ) ( 5 ) 15USC 1692 ( D ) ( 2 ) STATES a dept collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress or abuse any person in connection with a collection of a dept with out limiting the general application of the foregoing following conduct is a violation of this section ( 2 ) the use of obscene or profane language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader 15USC 1692 ( B ) AND 15USC 1692 ( C ) ( A ) for all of these reason and more enclosed is all of the proof you need to see and also letters already sent certified mail with receipts

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, This letter is in reference to account : MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT, Im requesting that you reinvestigate this accounts accuracy and reporting inconsistencies. According to the letter provided by MIDLAND CREDIT MANAGEMENT, their company ( Midland Credit Management ) DOES NOT report a PAST DUE balance to credit agencies. However, this account is reporting a past due balance of {$640.00} as well as reporting a Seriously Past Due status monthly to all 3 credit agencies, and changing the as of date each month to make the debt appear more recent, which is from my understanding a violation. This debt was purchased on XX/XX/XXXX and reported on XX/XX/XXXX. I DID NOT receive a notice of this debt, nor did I set up any payment arrangements or DUE DATES regarding this alleged debt with Midland Credit Management. Therefore there should not be a Past Due Balance. I am requesting that XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX verify to me how the reported Past Due Balance is accurate, if the company stated they DO NOT report a PAST DUE balance on any account. Also this company ( Midland Credit Management ) stated the Federal Reporting Period expires on XX/XX/XXXX. My XXXX Report is reporting this account will be removed XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX is Reporting this item will be removed XX/XX/XXXX. These dates should not be different and all 3 dates can NOT BE ACCURATE. This company is also reporting as a FACTORING COMPANY ACCOUNT on my XXXX report which is yet another false inaccuracy. Furthermore its is Unfair and Illegal to furnish false or inaccurate information to a consumers credit report. Ive attached documents with the issues described above circled.

Consumer Complaint: My wages have been garnished from a public case dated XX/XX/XXXX without my knowledge. After moving from an address, another entity took the creditors catalog ( XXXX ) and used my account to order massive products. When I received the bills I disputed them immediately. They were done by someone with a different name than mine. A fraud alert was filed with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The creditor did not address this alert. Instead they sued me in XXXX XXXX I lived in. At the time, I was under complete duress with a still born child and a parent in hospice. My options for resolution were never disclosed. The account was purchased by Midland Credit Management. The creditor has now since garnished my wages without me receiving any paperwork to the effect. I have contacted Midland Credit Management for this alarming issue and was advised to start an appeal. They did confirm they sent the paperwork to an old address. My current address was provided to them. How can I get this resolved?

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a suspicious email from Midland Credit Management XXXX XXXX ( MCM ), a debt collector stating they were trying to collect on a XXXX XXXX debt allegedly owed to MCM. According to MCM, an XXXX Card Account through XXXX XXXX was sold to Midland Credit Management on XX/XX/XXXX. As a result, MCM, a debt collection company, would be collecting on and servicing my account. Per MCM, a XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) account was charged off on XX/XX/XXXX. However, according to my records, I received a credit card statement on XX/XX/XXXX, from XXXX indicating that a minimum payment of {$260.00} was due on XX/XX/XXXX. A payment of {$140.00} was made on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I logged into my XXXX Credit Card account through XXXX. I received the following message, " It's critical that you make a payment soon to prevent your account from being closed, charged off, and reported as a bad debt. We offer payment options that can restore your account to good standing, but it is critical that you set up a payment option immediately. '' I was provided several payment options, including making a stay payment of {$18.00} to prevent further collection activity. I made this payment of {$18.00} and received the following confirmation, " This is a confirmation of your one-time payment authorization made on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX . Please save a copy of this for your records. XXXX XXXX will apply this payment to your XXXX Credit Card account and, pending final authorization from your bank, a single XXXX electronic debit in the amount of {$18.00} will be deducted from your bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. It XXXX take XXXX additional business days to complete the funds transfer. '' However, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from MCM indicating that my Express Credit Card account had been charged off on XX/XX/XXXX, and sold to MCM on XX/XX/XXXX ( a day after the payment authorization of XX/XX/XXXX for the stay payment of {$18.00} ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I logged into my XXXX Credit Card account through XXXX and again received the following message, " " It's critical that you make a payment soon to prevent your account from being closed, charged off, and reported as a bad debt. We offer payment options that can restore your account to good standing, but it is critical that you set up a payment option immediately. '' My options were to make a past-due payment of {$150.00} or the minimum due of {$180.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I scheduled a payment of {$180.00} to be deducted from my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. I closed my Express Credit Card account on XX/XX/XXXX, due to the economic impact of XXXX and the difficulties I encountered with obtaining account protection benefits through Account Assure. A previous complaint was filed with CFPB against XXXX ( XXXX ) and the Account XXXX program. Last XX/XX/XXXX, I again encountered difficulty making payments through the XXXX website due to technical issues on their end.
