Consumer Complaint: Hi there, I was recently hit with a 30 day late payment on my credit report. Due to the corona virus affecting my business I had to switch banks from XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. It appears that my auto pay was turned off ( when I spoke with the representative she said that I manually turned it off on the online website, which I do not remember doing this. ) Due to the chaos of the current epidemic I traveled quite a bit to ensure the safety of my family and was unaware that my bill did not go through. If I had known this, I would have paid right away. As you can see on discovers payments, I paid as soon as I got notified that there was a late payment on my report. Switching banks added to the chaos. If you check the recent payments with Discover, every payment has been paid on time and I would like to ask that you remove this late payment from my report. Thank you, - XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My last 4 of Social is XXXX Earlier this year, I filed a complaint against Discover Card for not closing my account when I requested to close it, CFPB took action and Discover closed my card. Now, I am having a much bigger issue with Discover Card. I was affected by COVID-19, Discover Card asked if I needed help with payment and I requested for the relief but they continued to send me same email over and over again. I called Discover and we went over COVID-19 relief program but, again, got several calls a day every day. On Monday XX/XX/2020, Discover called again, the rep apologized and and we went over COVID-19 payment relief program one more time and he asked me to make a small payment by the end of next week which I agreed to do so. Today, I received an email from credit reporting agencies that Discover has reported late payment and my score went down by 62 points. Discover 's rep falsely promised and assured me that late payments will not be reported.

Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Consumer Complaint: When I requested for a Credit Limit increase back on XX/XX/XXXX, never did they mention that I had to wait for 12 months from the time open my credit card account to request for it. There was also no mention of this to me over the phone of a new policy where a limit increase request would now be pushed back to 12 months. Both XXXX from the Line Increase Dept. & XXXX from the Credit Operations Dept. said on XX/XX/XXXX, only these 2 requirements needed to be met : 1. Six months need to pass since the opening of the account 2. Must clear the delinquency on my credit report XXXX delinquent payment XXXX XXXX XXXX ) Once the delinquency has been removed, XXXX specifically mentioned to immediately call back in the month of XXXX, Discover will honor to increase my credit limit in 6 months, and not 12 months. So, I called again on XX/XX/XXXX, to request for the promised credit increase. Supervisor XXXX located in XXXX stated that I have to wait 12 months to request a credit limit increase and not the 6 months, which was against what was originally stated in XXXX. The reason was that the policy just recently changed. My request to increase my credit limit was made before the policy change. Never did Discover adhere to disclose back in XXXX that I will not be able to increase my credit limit once the 6 month period was over. I am filing this dispute to make sure that Discover honors the credit limit increase that was promised to me at the time of the initial request.

Consumer Complaint: My credit card was used without my knowledge or permission and multiple charges were made on my card that I did not authorize. I reached out to the company and was advised that due to fraud I would not be responsible for charges but recently checking my credit I saw the charges on my card and no one is assisting with my issue. My credit card information, id, and phone were stolen and charges were occurring on my cards. I did not immediately notice this because I was not able to check my account due to my information being stored on my phone and I was getting ready to leave for a work trip. On the trip I noticed 2 of my credit cards missing but I did just assume they were home and did not know they were being used. Consumer Complaint: I have called twice to close my Discover credit card and it is still showing as open online and on my credit report. I closed one of my other credit card 2 days ago and it is showing as closed on my credit report right away so this makes no sense why Discover has not closed my account. Please close my Discover card ending in XXXX and send me written confirmation of this! Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: DISCOVER CARD RECEIVED A FULL PAY OFF FROM ME EARLIER THIS MONTH. WHEN I PULLED MY CREDIT TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD REPORTED IT CORRECTLY I NOTICED THAT THEY HAD REPORTED MY PAYMENT LATE TO THE 3 MAJOR CREDIT BUREAUS FROM XXXX OF XXXX TO XX/XX/XXXX WHICH IS INCORRECT AS MY ACCOUNT WAS PAID EACH MONTH ON TIME WITH A PAYMENT THEN WHEN I FELL ON HARD TIMES IN XXXX WITH SOME HEALTH ISSUES INSTEAD OF LETTING MY PAYMENTS GO I HAD AN DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY COME IN TO MAKE MY PAYMENTS. ALL PAYMENTS WERE CURRENT EACH AND EVERY MONTH MOVING FORWARD. AS A MATTER OF FACT EACH MONTH I MADE DOUBLE THE AMOUNT THAT DISCOVER WANTED. THEN I PAY THEM OFF THIS MONTH AND NOW I SEE THIS. I CALLED DISCOVER AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE VERIFIABLE PROOF THAT I WAS LATE WITH MY PAYMENT. THEY SIMPLY SAY " OUR SYSTEM SHOWS THAT IT WAS '' THIS DOES NOT MEET THE FCRA REQUIREMENTS WHICH SAYS ALL INFORMATION BEING REPORTED HAS TO BE 100 % ACCURATE, COMPLETE AND VERIFIABLE. THEY ARE ALSO STILL REPORTING IN THE COMMENT SECTION THAT THE DEBT IS BEING HANDLED BY A THIRD PARTY TO MAKE PAYMENTS. THIS IS INCORRECT. I AM NOT SURE WHAT DISCOVER CARD HAS TO GAIN BY REPORTING THIS INFORMATION SINCE THE ACCOUNT HAS A XXXX BALANCE AND IS CLOSED. I AM REQUESTING THAT ALL LATE PAYMENTS THAT WERE REPORTED ON THIS ACCOUNT BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY AND ALL COMMENTS THAT REFERENCE PAYMENTS BEING SUBMITTED BY 3RD PARTY DEBT MANAGEMENT BE REMOVED. THE ACCOUNT IS IN GOOD STANDING AND THERE SHOULD BE NO REFERENCE OF ANY LATE PAYMENTS IN THE PAST AS THE ACCOUNT HAD PAYMENTS MADE EACH AND EVERY MONTH.

Consumer Complaint: California Tax Lien placed on CD XXXX for {$750.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and. Bank reports sent funds to California. I have since been independently protesting lien with California authorities and, so far, amounts owed reduced down to {$380.00} with additional action being taken to eliminate entirely. No funds returned as yet. Normal due process not followed by the bank. Any California lien, even if valid, would normally have to be domesticated in either Michigan or Delaware ( Discover Bank reported to be a Delaware Corporation ) necessitating proof of service of notice of a hearing and review by a neutral party. No such proper procedures followed.
