Consumer Complaint: Discover has unexpectedly required a form 4506-T under threat of account closure. This is not an industry standard - I've had credit cards for more than 20 years - and I refused to disclose such sensitive information. I believe this is intimidation driven by an under-pressure underwriting department who is extending their reach beyond reasonable industry norms.

Consumer Complaint: I am a DISCOVER credit card holder. The card was used in some vendor 's site for autocharge. We suspected the Credit Card # was compromised and wanted a new card number so that autocharge feature be stopped and we could have a new fresh start. DISCOVER people stopped the old card and issued a new card. However they are continuing with the charges based on the older stopped card. They expect us to call the individual vendors and stop the usage. I think is is an unethical and unacceptable practice.

Consumer Complaint: I closed my Discovered secured card back in XX/XX/2020 and requested my refund. I was told the process would likely take 2 months to complete. It has been 6 months and after 3 failed attempts, I am under the impression that Discover wants me to give up claiming my deposit funds ( {$400.00} ). I have called them up at least five times now and they always say the check is on its way. Several weeks go by and the check never arrives. They have allegedly sent out 3 checks and I have provided 2 different addresses but the check never shows up

Consumer Complaint: A Discover card was opened in XXXX, payment history was timely. An unauthorized dispute of the account was opened, however not authorized by the cardholder. Discover automatically closed the account however left the balance without informing me. Payments were effected for XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX due to miscommunication and understanding of what was actually occurring with the account. The way and reasons the account was closed should have left no balance. After speaking with several representatives to reopen the account as this was not authorized. No success. However I continue to make impeccable payments to the closed account.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: The payments allocation was not correct. I had a minimum payment of XXXX dollars and made a payment of XXXX dollars. On my credit card I have multiple interest balances ranging from XXXX to XXXX % APR. The allocation of my payment should follow the rules set by The Card Act of 2009, where the minimum payment ( XXXX dollars ) should be allocated as the issuer wishes and the excess payment MUST be allocated to the highest interest balance. But Discover did not allocate my payment as such, they allocated most of my payment to lower interest balances.
