Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing discover with XXXX for a year now. They keep coming back the same day with a response. which let 's me know they have not done an investigation as they reported. The response says all inquiries are accurate and that they reached out to discover. They did not discover has told me numerous times that they have no account or application from me to have an inquiry. after I disputed XXXX discover they even sent a letter and now XXXX still doesn't have it. 30 days later.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a charge dispute for XXXX with Discover on XX/XX/22 for services that was never provided from a lawyer. XXXX XXXX took my retainer and ghosted me refused all my calls. I submitted supporting documents online to Discover XX/XX/22 support my dispute On XX/XX/22 I received email from Discover finding in my favor and refunded charge back to my account On XX/XX/22 I received call from a man name XXXX from the executive office of Discover telling me that he will be billing charges back to my account because he received signed agreement from this lawfirm with my signature. XXXX at Discover executive office never gave me a chance to review these " documents '' he received from lawfirm before making this horrible bad decision. I filed complaint with Mass Board of Bars Overseers and after reviewing my case they're investigating this lawfirm for lying misuse of funds code of ethics. I am not responsible for any charges from this merchant

Consumer Complaint: Discovery Bank is reporting a charged-off account on my credit profile. They are verifying this account based on an online application where my social security, date of birth, and mother 's maiden name were provided. I've submitted a police report because this information was used by another individual. Also, the address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX PA is not my address. Please provide further evidence that this account is mine. Please provide an explanation of how my information was verified. I did not speak to a representative nor sign any documents. How can an online application alone verify a person 's identity? I've attempted to address the issue and informed Discovery that the account is false however they continue to report it. I even attempted to settle a debt that doesn't belong to me to avoid the impact on my credit profile. Please provide a method of verification.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX my husband made a payment with a live rep over the phone using the same debit card that we have used in the past. My husband is on my discover account. The payment was made on time. The employee entered the payment as a ctc payment which means 3rd party. Our debit card will not except XXXX party payments. We were never informed the payment was not made. When I checked the automated system for discover it showed the payment was made. We didn't find out until the next payment was due. We contacted discover exec XXXX. As of today it's still showing on my credit as 60 to 89 days late.

Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the XXXX major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you.
