Consumer Complaint: I opened this checking and savings account with Discover specifically because they offer cashback on all purchases, but they have been cheating me continually on this!!! Now they claim you only get 1 % cash back and ONLY up to {$3000.00} which they NEVER told me when I opened the accounts, after I just deposited and spent $ XXXX in XX/XX/2022 alone and they only deposited a pathetic {$30.00} for this into my savings account for cashback redemption!!!! I am sure they have been cheating me all along as I have not been watching it closely and never seem to get more than {$30.00} no matter what I spend or pay!!! I think they are doing this to all of their customers and committing fraud!! The rep claimed today when I called that it is correct, but it is not, even if I receive a pathetic 1 % up to {$3000.00} the minimum it could be is {$300.00}!!! I want my money!!! I have attached a copy of all transactions on my account for the month of XXXX and also a copy of the bank statement from my savings showing the pathetic deposit for cashback redemption today!!! I can also provide all past statements if needed to also go after them for past amounts owed from these cashback redemptions too, in fact I may look into filing a lawsuit over this!!! I am sick and tired of being cheated by these crooked banks!!!!

A cease and desist was sent to them on XX/XX/2022 demanding they send an audit trail including the ledger, all accounting documents, transaction history, and account file. I also demand they remove the account they furnished on my consumer report I never gave written instructions to furnish Pursuant to 15 USC 1681b ( 2 ). Keep in mind non-compliance with my XXXX XXXX XXXX will be documented and used as exhibits for knowingly and willfully violating federal law.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/26 I opened a Savings Account with Discover over the phone. When opening the account I was asked how I was going to fund it and I mentioned from a different account, the banker mentioned she will be able to assist me with the transfer at the end. At the end of the call the banker let me know she was unable to help me and I had to call my other banking institution to walk me through the transfer process. In order to get this special of {$150.00} when depositing {$15000.00} you have to deposit it within 30 days BUT THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. I was able to deposit {$10000.00} via bank transfer BUT they will not accept a bank transfer, a CASHIERS CHECK or a personal check for the remaining amount so I am not able to get to a {$15000.00} balance. I have wrote to the company and they mentioned the only option is a wire, which if they told me prior they would've been fine but I already closed that account so this is not an acceptable solution. Thankfully my other banking institution allowed me to instantly deposit my cashiers check via mobile deposit so I am not stuck walking around with an {$11000.00} check. What annoys me the most is i wrote a check from my personal checking and they even deny that check... They state this is for fraud prevention but I have {$10000.00} in the account so I should be able to deposit my {$5000.00} check because I have plenty of cash to cover it. Ridiculous circumstance. When calling they also mention a XXXX minute wait that turns into XXXX minutes and getting hung up on.

Consumer Complaint: I have opened a checking account and savings account with Discover Bank last XX/XX/XXXX since they have an offer that if you made a {$25000.00} deposit within 30 days they will give you {$200.00} bonus. We decided to transfer our savings account from XXXX XXXX XXXX to Discover since they also have a higher APY. Gradually, I have transferred my money to Discover and I already closed my XXXX XXXX XXXX savings account. I even moved my direct deposit payroll account to Discover Checking Account. My total money at Discover is about XXXX for the checking and XXXX for the savings account. All of a sudden today, XX/XX/XXXX. I received an email saying that both my checking and savings account at Discover is being closed. I called customer service and they only said that it was due to business decision and they will give my money back via check after 60 days. I tried to ask for a manager but they said no one was available. I transferred my savings to Discover since I wanted my money to earn more interest. I was a Discover Card member since XXXX and I am not sure why they would just close my checking and savings account just like that without any notice or someone calling me why they are doing that. That money is for my daughter 's college tuition fee which is I am going to use for her enrollment for this coming semester. The total money in question is about $ XXXX. I can't wait 60 days to get my money back. I can't access my account anymore since they already close it. Appreciate your help regarding this matter so I can get the money I deposited to Discover bank. Thank you very much.

Consumer Complaint: I extended credit to Discover financial services for the amount of {$200.00}. After the account became XXXX the negative, I settled the debt without being notified of my right to dispute. According to the FCRA I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISPUTE any and all information on my credit file. Section 623 ( e ) prohibits information furnished from providing information to a CRA that they know or a reasonable cause to believe is inaccurate. Upon looking at my credit file, how can a third party debt collector radius global solutions verify any information due to the fact we never entered into a contract together. Attached you will see all the inaccuracies that are being reported on my file. The date last active are showing two different dates and the date of last payment are showing two different dates. Under payment status it shows unknown on one and the other it shows collection/chargeroff. Also, the last reported dates are different. Now, they have violated me several times under the FCRA ( 15 USC 1681, 1681e, and 1692g. I will be forced to file a law suit and contact my Attorney GeneraXXXX XXXX and the FTC.

Me and XXXX got paid and the founds were deposited inti our XXXX XXXX joint account in XXXX, that afternoon all the money were from our saving account ( XXXX ) and XXXX from our checking account because of a credit card balance judgement on me only ( not my XXXX ). Under XXXX laws the joint account between XXXX and XXXX is protected from garnishement. But the bank XXXX XXXX still processed the transaction illegally even after speaking with their legal department on XX/XX/22 twice, they were very rude and did not care about the law nor my situation. Please note that the judgement is only on my name and it said that the send the paper work for the court to an old adress that I have nt live there in years.
