A lot of the people affected by this include those who were previous customers and had previous access to the XXXX feature. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I requested a refund from a fraudulent company because i needed to cancel my trip due to a recent XXXX. I called the company who I booked my trip through, XXXX, and they agreed to issue me a refund and sent me a receipt of {$430.00} being refunded to my account. The refund was supposed to be issued within he next 10 business days. On XX/XX/XXXX, they sent me anoher email telling me that " its a short matter of time for it to be reflected back to your account. '' ( documentation below ) However, it was never refunded, when I tried to contact XXXX again, they put me on hold for one hour and then hung up. It was at this time I realized I was dealing with a fraudulent company, so I contacted Discover Bank to file a claim. I also sent Discover the supporting documents which revealed that XXXX was going to refund the {$430.00}. When Discover Bank did their investigation, XXXX then went on and said that it was a nonrefundable transaction which contradicts what they previously told me, proving further that this company is fraudulent. I would like Discover to refund me my money, I have been a valued customer to them since XXXX, I would hate to have to terminate our relationship over this.

A creditor shall not refuse to grant an individual account to a creditworthy applicant on the basis of sex, marital status, or any other prohibited basis. ) ) 12 CFR 1002.2 ( z ) Prohibited basis means race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, or age ( provided that the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract ) ; the fact that all or part of the applicant 's income derives from any public assistance program ; or the fact that the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act or any state law upon which an exemption has been granted by the Bureau. And applied for a DISCOVER credit card via an application where i the consumer am the applicant, was denied of my good faith in extension of my credit. An inquiry was reported without my consent and my social security was used without authorization and there is no open account with discover whatsoever. There reasoning was " THE NUMBER OF RECENT INQUIRIES ''. Completely against the law to deny a consumer wanting to extend there on credit. According to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act 12 CFR 1002 an is discrimination against a creditworthy consumer, 12 CFR 1002.2 ( n ) Discriminate against an applicant means to treat an applicant less favorably than other applicants.

Consumer Complaint: Between XXXX I purchased multiple concert tickets. This included a charge of {$820.00} to my Discover credit card ending in XXXX paid to Merchant : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I never received the tickets. I contacted Discover customer service dept. approximately four weeks ago, and I was told by the person I spoke to, that I would get my account credited for that amount. However, I received correspondence from Discover dated XX/XX/22 informing me that reversed their decision.
