Consumer Complaint: During the pandemic the company would change the term of the product that they were offering every three months after promising to keep the consumer at the new term that was offered. XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, after reaching out them on numerous time. After reaching out to them on XX/XX/XXXX to request a final assistance they stated that they only had one product for my situation. I ask ok tell me now about it. I was told that the Product would renew my loan term and time and any and all fund that was paid will not apply to the new term and my payment would decrease by XXXX $ to XXXX $ and it would add 5 years to the loan. I ask to see the full loan term I was told by the representative that I would have to agree to the term first before I could see the full break down. I expressed my concerns about that and that i would like to read over the documents he stated that he could not do so and that was the only option available. I told him I can not take that offer unless I have something to read in writing then the call was disconnected. I received a letter from Discover acknowledging they received my Request for a long term but was unable to enroll due to : You voluntarily declined to enroll. dated XX/XX/XXXX. I have the recording of that conversation.

Consumer Complaint: Discover reduced my credit limit from {$3000.00} to {$500.00}. I do not have a single late payment on any account and I always pay far more than minimum on my payments. My scores have foolishly lowered because of usage, but now my scores are even lower because Discover lowered my credit limit. Yes, I understand how credit works. That still doesn't mean it's not absolutely foolish. My son who has several judgements and collection accounts has higher credit scores than I do right now, and I have an absolutely perfect payment history. It seems to me this would be a very clear indication of how unfair credit ratings are. I understand a creditor having the option of lowering your limits if you have had late payments or filed bankruptcy. They should not be able to lower your credit limit because of a temporary score. Temporary is the key word there. The scores are fluid and change rapidly, yet a credit card company may check your score once every 6 months to a year and may just happen to come across your score after a major purchase, so the foolish analysts that are paid to predict the future decide to lower your score ( kick you while your down ) and then say this is fair practice even though the consumer has more than lived up to the agreement made when the credit limit was established. Of course, it also depends on which score you're referring to. There are many! It's an absolutely foolish system and it provides very little, if any, financial protection for the consumer. All the protections are for the lender. My limit should not have been lowered. I had a {$3000.00} limit and only a {$30.00} balance. Now because of some overly educated fool who developed an automatic system to protect the bank, I am forced to suffer via my credit scores and good name.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, a person by the name of XXXX XXXX created a XXXX account with her bank ( Discover Bank ). She illegally utilized my personal email address ( XXXX ) to set up that account. I do not know this person, nor did I give her permission to set up a XXXX account using my email address. She then fraudulently sent money, via XXXX, to herself using my email address. That money was deposited into her bank account with Discover Bank. I do not have a bank account with Discover Bank, nor did I send money to this person. She sent {$1800.00} to the bank account she has with Discover. I have tried to dispute this with my bank, XXXX, but they are refusing to provide any assistance. Even though I have sent proof of the email I received from Discover Bank proving someone illegally set up an account with them, using my email address. The person in the email name is XXXX XXXX. I have tried to contact Discover Bank but since I do not have a bank account with them, they advised it was only so much information they can provide or do to help me. My rights as a consumer were violated with the EFTA and Regulation E. Discover 's banking customer, XXXX XXXX, illegally and with no authorization set up a XXXX account with Discover Bank using my personal email address ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/2022 and was fraudulently sending and receiving money via XXXX. I was scammed out of {$1800.00} by their customer, and want to be reimbursed as I did not authorize this transaction nor do I know this customer using my email address for fraudulent activity.

Consumer Complaint: This is regarding a Consumer Credit transaction entered with Discover XX/XX/2022 and I extended your organization the credit for application no. XXXX. From your end, I have not benefitted from this transaction which is a direct violation of 15 USC 1602 ( p ). According to 15 USC 1602 ( p ), the term unauthorized use means a use of a credit card by a person other than the cardholder who does not have actual, implied, or apparent authority for such use and from which the cardholder received no benefit. Discover is again in violation of 15 USC 1691 ( d ) ( 6 ) by entering this one sided transaction, and denying the consumers natural right to credit. I have exercised my rights in good faith and have been wrongfully discriminated by both Discover and XXXX as seen in Exhibit A, violating 15 USC 1691 ( a ) ( 3 ).

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a complaint that was closed unexpectedly. I received a letter saying it was closed because the CFPB believed it may have been submitted by someone else. It was not. I am resubmitting my complaint for consideration. On XX/XX/2022, Discover Bank restricted access to the XXXX payment service to all customers who enrolled after XX/XX/2022, which includes myself. They did so with no notice and the method by which they set up this restriction immediately blocked my ability to use the XXXX service with any financial institution. I also have accounts with XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and immediately after Discover 's actions I was no longer able to use the XXXX payment service through any of them. Having access to XXXX is more than a simple convenience, as I have signed a lease agreement for my home in which XXXX is the agreed upon payment method. I immediately contacted both XXXX XXXX and Discover Bank to attempt to resolve the issue. Discover Bank said they are not offering XXXX at this time and insisted ( wrongly ) that their actions would not cause problems at other institutions and also insisted that I work with my other banks to resolve the issue their. So, I immediately began working with XXXX to find a resolution. Several customer support tickets were entered on my behalf after various phone calls. On XX/XX/XXXX a ticket was entered that was escalated to an internal team and I was advised I'd receive a solution in 5 business days. I have continued to follow up on a regular basis and am told that the company is still doing research on the issue and has no updates. I find myself in a situation where Discover advises I contact Ally, Ally advises I contact XXXX, and XXXX insists these issues must be handled through the bank. All the while, being put in a situation where I am denied access to a service by no fault of my own based on an arbitrary date of enrollment at a particular company. It is also affecting my ability to meet the agreement made with my landlord to make payments through XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Discover/XXXX Restriction XXXX Discover deliberately restricted access to money transfer feature, XXXX, for many Cashback Checkings account holders with no upfront announcement prior to system maintenance. Features were limited and unable to be used several weeks before formal announcement was made via email in late XX/XX/2022. Spoke with many Customer reps about issue on several occasions with no real explanation to issue ; Discover reps would continue to point the finger at other third-parties being responsible for the issues. During this system maintenance, the ability to use XXXX has been COMPLETELY RESTRICTED at ALL banking institutions ( not just Discover ) and many customers were unethically placed on XXXX Global Restriction [ derogatory negative reporting ] due to the actions taken by Discover. It has been nearly been 2 months since issue began and still no resolution. Discover continues to admit that the issue is with other third-parties ; despite them being entirely responsible for the amass issues they have caused for many other account holders. Here is a link to others experience on the issue : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Finally, Discover needs to have some integrity and right these wrongs that they are solely responsible for. Consumer Complaint: I got a letter in the mail for a Civil Action Information Subpoena, and I mailed back the questions they requested. On top of the letter it states that " Failure to Comply with this information subpoena may result in your arrest and incarceration '' It is for Discover Bank their attorney sent this letter. I called my Superior court to get information on this and spoke with someone there about it. They told me a Judgment has already been filed and i never submitted a answer to the court and they already entered it against me. I never got any letters from the attorney saying they were going to take legal action and I was never physically served any paper work or signed any certified letters. I never got anything saying I had a court date and never received a complaint or anything telling me to file a answer with the court. I would have filed an answer if I was sent the correct documents stating I needed to. They are saying they are going to garnish my wages. The account was charged off and I have not since heard or received anything regarding it. I also wanted documentation showing my agreement and that I owe this debt so I will be requesting a debt validation letter. Also it states that I owe {$2300.00} plus costs of which {$2500.00} together with interest from XX/XX/2018. I am unsure how I owe more money on debt that was charged off, and my account is closed. I was never notified of having to pay any Judgement and was never told there would be added interest.
