Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I was alerted that someone made an inquiry on my credit. I contacted support and told them it was a fraud. The company than started an investigation on it. On XX/XX/2022 the company reached out and stated that someone open an account under my name and SSC. The company on my behave explain the situation, flag the account, and are in the process of closing it. After speaking to the representative I was told to submit a fraud case through FTC.GOV. Somewhere in between I was redirected to Cfpb page, and now I'm typing this out.

Consumer Complaint: I started disputing this information in XXXX regarding these two companies discover and XXXX XXXX. I fill out every form the companies sent to me from the fraud department to a police report back in XXXX. Id also requested a copy of the applications that was submitted by me since this account was supposedly open in XXXX the company was still actively doing paper work for new account. I havent received a copy of the the request paperwork information regarding the credit application from the company. These account is showing a balance and a past due amount for many years this company continues to bully and harass me with this relentless negative information on my credit report which is affecting my family and personal lively hood to get good paying job and a decent place for me and family to live. This is a constant reminder of how the company treat XXXX and XXXX people who work hard and want a fair share in life.

Consumer Complaint: I mailed a payment of {$8600.00} by certified mail with tracking, I tracked the payment and it was received on XX/XX/2022 at XXXX pm. Discover claims they never received the payment. I have called Discover several times, I tried to send the complaint on their website ( discover.com/billingerrornotice ). Once I clicked submit, it said there was an error and my information could not be processed. I wrote a hand written letter because my computer is down, I will mail it tomorrow with a copy of the check stub and certified mail receipt. I also went to my credit union to see if the check had been cashed and it had not. I asked if they would stop payment and reissue the check or make the payment electronically. They told me they would not because of the amount of the check. They wouldn't for 90 day. Now Discover has added derogatory information on my credit report. I am very stressed out and frustrated about this situation. I have tried everything I know to do, but no one is listening. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/2022, parts were ordered from XXXX which were NEVER RECEIVED by me, the consumer/credit card member. I reported this to the merchant who issued consequently issued RMAs. However, after merchants customer service confirmed shipping address with me, they rescinded the RMAs because they claimed my credit card found my dispute in their favor and DISCOVER forced me to pay for something I DID NOT RECEIVE even after producing a police report # XXXX. I complained several times to the Discover Executive Offices since they claim to be the consumers advocates but that was just to deceive the since they advocated for the merchant. Even XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX adopted dispute policies where the merchant being the shipper of merchandise purchased MUST PRODUCE SIGNED CONFIRMATION OF DELIVERY whereas DISCOVER will accept only tracking information. Discover REFUSED to acknowledge police report filed by the Consumer/Cardmember but accepted the merchants vague policies and only tracking information of delivery even though items were NEVER RECEIVED. I also disputed these charges by CERTIFIED MAIL to their BILLING DEPARTMENT as instructed by CONSUMERs BILLING DISPUTE protocol but was told both by mail and phone calls to the Billing Department & Executive Offices they WILL NOT redress nor will they amend this billing error and do the chargeback.

Consumer Complaint: Was notified that a credit application was put in to Discover financial services for a credit card. I called when I found this out and had the account canceled and closed this happened on XX/XX/XXXX and I found out about it on XX/XX/XXXX as well. I called to cancel everything XX/XX/XXXX, then I received the credit card and mail XX/XX/XXXX. The credit limit on the card says {$7500.00} just wanting to file a report so I can have it in my records. I have my credit file locked and did put out a fraud alert on my account. The person that put in the application used a fake email.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check using mobile deposit on XX/XX/XXXX, and received notice that it would be held until XX/XX/XXXX. The notice provided the general list of exceptions to the maximum hold time limit, but did not specify the reason for the hold. I requested clarification and a specific reason multiple times, and was told first they hadnt placed a hold at all, then that they couldnt give me a reason for the hold because its proprietary, then that the hold was discretionary due to their agreement which says they can hold a check for any reason. They declined to lift the hold, and I have no idea why it exists or what to do because I cant use the {$2000.00} that was deposited.

Consumer Complaint: My card was used by someone who was not me for multiple fraudulent charges by a company called XXXX or XXXX XXXX. I contacted DISCOVER card to point out the multiple fraudulent charges made over & over in different small amounts by a company I have never heard of. My card had been stolen from my car & I was unaware but DISCOVER card wouldnt resolve my claim even after I provided them a written out summary of charges I made VS. the summary of charges that I did not make that all show the name XXXX & a transaction type of merchandise. On XXXX there are multiple claims you can easily find showing that this company XXXX has fraudulently charged multiple other people in the thousands. I require assistance in resolving this issue since DISCOVER card is unwilling to further review this claim fairly & is punishing me for charges that I did not myself make or authorize in any way.

Consumer Complaint: I tried withdrawing my money from my Discover Checking Account mid XXXX but was unable to do so. I tried waiting thinking this was a website issue but when I realized I had lost all access to my account, I called customer service so XX/XX/2022 and was informed that my account has been closed for " business reasons '' and that a check would be mailed to me XXXX days after the last deposit. The last deposit to my account was XX/XX/2022 - it has been XXXX calendar days since the last deposit. The last withdrawal from my account on XX/XX/2022 - it has been XXXX calendar days since the last withdrawal. The only response I hear from Discover Customer Support is to wait for the check. I have over {$5000.00} in that account that I need desperately and have been deprived of without being supplied with any reason for doing so.

Consumer Complaint: I have two ACH transfers with Discover Bank pulling from an external checking account at XXXX XXXX, involving {$2300.00} initiated XX/XX/2022, that would not be available until XX/XX/2022. and {$6000.00} initiated XX/XX/2022 that would not be available until XX/XX/2022. This over XXXX XXXX XXXX to clear funds that I already own is absolutely unacceptable, and Discover phone customer support insisted that it was the ACH system that held funds to ensure the source account could verify. Apparently there is nothing Discover Bank or XXXX XXXX that could expedite the process or even provide me with an alternative form of transfer that wouldn't cost me additional money ( e.g. wire transfer ). This amount of money is non-trivial to me and was necessary to pay bills, a mortgage, and a car payment. Not only will those payments now be late, but I will be charged extra interest on my credit cards and may even suffer on my XXXX XXXX due to this amount of money being withheld this long without my express permission and intention. The United States and its banking system needs to step up to the demands of the 21st century and streamline and update the ACH processing system and dismantle these anti-consumer barriers to accessing our own money. The attached screenshot shows the funds already withdrawn from the source account at XXXXXXXX XXXX.
