Consumer Complaint: I have just looked at my credit report and found items that do not belong to me. I have called the creditors and found that they were opened in Florida. I have never lived in Florida. There is a Florida address being reported on my credit file but I never lived there. I have always lived in NJ and I am including my current license and a copy of a paycheck from 2019 when this Discover account was supposedly opened showing I was employed and living in NJ during the time frame these accounts were opened. I have tried to disputed these accounts and gotten no help. I need your help to get these fraudulent accounts off of my report.

I was asked to come into the state police location and do a report of my own. Here are the three reports I have had to make regarding identity theft : XXXX XXXX XXXX I have tried to contact all the parties involved and none of the credit card companys have done anything to remove from my credit report. I have on my credit report a notice that I have identity theft done. I've had my bank even contact me during XXXX about about someone trying to access my banking information. Consumer Complaint: We applied for a Home Equity Loan with Discover Home Loans on XX/XX/2023. We have credit cards and bank accounts with Discover and have had a relationship with them for several years so we thought this would be the best decision. We have never had any issues with the service they have provided until now. I have submitted all required documentation and some of the documents that I submitted on XX/XX/2023 are still pending REVIEW! I've called Discover a total of 7 times since XX/XX/2023 and this is quite ridiculous at this point. I've spent a total of 62 minutes on the phone with Discover because their portal is not updated with the most recent information based on what the reps have told me. I don't have time to call and sit on the phone. All of the reps that I've spoken with have been so nice and professional but the document collector XXXX XXXX needs to be replaced with someone that's more responsive and efficient for our file. I work in the mortgage industry so I understand how this process goes to a certain extent with needing to have all documents submitted in a timely manner to move the process along. I read that Discover could close in about 4 weeks if the customer stays on top of their to-do items. This seems like it won't happen since XXXX is unresponsive. We just want to tap into our equity to pay off some debt and get some matters in order for our family. Why is this so hard? This seems like the perfect case of disparate treatment and we don't appreciate being put on the back burner because we don't fit the criteria of most people who may be able to obtain and afford a home equity loan. Someone within the company needs to intervene and asap!

Consumer Complaint: I received a statement from Discover card in XXXX that showed a charge from XXXX in the amount of {$160.00}. I called Discover at XXXX and got their fraud department. I explained that I had not ordered their virus protection and would never pay that much for such a program and they told me the charge would be reversed & nothing else needed to be done. Shortly thereafter I received in the mail a letter saying a dispute case had been inititated by XXXX. I responded stating that XXXX had my name & credit card # from a purchase made once before but their so called evidence had me living in the wrong state, had an incorrect IP address for my computer, had sent sample invoices & sample e-mails that did not contain my name. Actually showed two invoices ( neither with my name on them ) for {$39.00} and for {$160.00}. Discover card then reversed the charges which did not appear on my following statement. Around the end of XXXX I received the same exact evidence and letter stating they were putting the {$160.00} charge back on my credit card. I responded by sending them a letter on XX/XX/23 disputing the charge once again and showing why each piece of their evidence was not valid. I have not heard from them since. For the last 40 years I have had an excellent credit rating and this really upsets me. I am a retired XXXX and living on fixed income I WILL not ever pay a debt other than my own. Your help is truly appreciated!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Discover received a payment for the amount of {$4000.00} in the form of a Money Order valued at the above mentioned amount, and written with the provisions for a full satisfaction of the outstanding balance. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Discover and spoke with Multiple representatives, where they agreed that they do accept Legal Tender, and was aware of the misapplied payment. At this point there was an investigation initiated, and they credited my account temporarily while the credit was being applied fully. Within 24 hours they reversed the credit without any reason or evidence of an acceptable conclusion. I waited until the next bill came to be listed online and saw there was no correction on the account. At this point I sent another payment to offset the updated balance of {$3900.00} and the 1st legal notice of payment tendered and opportunity to cure along with supporting documents which I have attached here. I have yet to receive a response but am still being collected on.
