Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I started a dispute case with Discover on XX/XX/XXXX, regarding XXXX refusing to issue a refund for my returned package. The case lasted until XX/XX/XXXX, Discover ruled in favor of the merchant despite I provided all the supporting documents showing the return package has been delivered back to the merchant. I uploaded another piece of documents, showing XXXX promise me a refund if I cancel the dispute. Since the dispute has already been made in favor of the merchant, Discover is not willing to help reopen the case. I spent XXXX months going back and forth with the merchant XXXX and my card issuer Discover, but Discover seems like not supporting their customers.

Consumer Complaint: Receiving multiple calls a day from Discover. Would call once from the main Discover Finacial number. Then would receive mutiple calls from other numbers and robo calls also trying to get me to answer or return a call to Discover trying to sell a credit card that I fell behind on. I did answer two of the calls and when I did they immediately tried to transfer me to Discover financial collections department. Discover would continuously contact me about 4 or 5 times a day 7 days a week. This went on for just over three months. The calls started when my account went delinquent after losing my job. I was unable to pay and as soon as Discover ended up suing me all the calls suddenly stopped again. This is a deceptive technique to reach me and a violation of my rights. I am considering suing for violations of the fdcpa as the calls totaled around 420 calls in just a 90 day period from Discover. No one should have to put up with a company acting this way towards its customers or any consumer.

Consumer Complaint: During my XXXX month with Discover, I was out of the country on a vacation. I wasn't aware of the minimum payment due. However, I was planning to clear the entire due once I'm back in the country. But, before I cleared, apparently I crossed the deadline for the minimum payment due, which was {$15.00}. I cleared my entire due at once which was ~ {$600.00}. I genuinely would've paid the minimum due, had I known it was mandatory. Because of that small mistake, my credit card account was closed, I kept getting rejects for other applications, which I believe, surely had a very bad impact on my credit history. They say my account was closed as they couldn't verify my personal information. I'm not sure what that is. I hope this problem could be resolved and I could apply for a new credit card. I already have a credit card which I opened as a student. The limit id {$650.00}. I can't pay my rent with it since it's more than my limit. It's becoming tough for me to maintain a good credit score. Please help me with this.

Consumer Complaint: Discovery credit card authorized without my permission a charge from an advertising company XXXX to which I had notified " NO RENEWAL '' This advertising company had my old card number since a year before I had to report it to Discovery Card as lost, but despite the fact that this advertising company " XXXX '' did not have my new card number, Discovery card still charged it as a " recurring charge ''. The first payment was on the day of the subscription XX/XX/XXXX, second payment XX/XX/XXXX, I do not consider these as recurring payments. That same day that the charge entered my credit card, Discovery Card sent me a text asking me if I authorized the transaction and I immediately replied " NO '', then Discovery Card sent me an email asking me if I authorized the transaction, and I also replied that " NO '' and clarify that it was fraudulent. Even so, the Discovery Card authorized the transaction. I've been sending texts and phone calls to the vendor " XXXX '' ( advertising company ) and with Discovery Card for two months. The seller never responds to emails or phone calls, only once did they respond that I have to complain to Discovery because the payment did not go through. Discovery Card closed my dispute because they claim that the vendor has shown proof that I use the service. This is completely false because I never renewed this service nor has it been used since it expired.
