Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corp, XXXX is reporting the following history on my credit report : {$32000.00} chargeoff, showing account open and past due with lates reporting every month since XXXX of XXXX. This account was charged off in XX/XX/XXXX. It is illegal to report late payments on an account that has been charged off, yet after disputing this with the credit bureaus, and after calling the company directly, they are refusing to stop reporting this account late every month since XXXX of XXXX. Because of this account reporting late every month for the past XXXX XXXX years, my credit is completely ruined and I am unable to purchase a car, a house, or obtain any type of credit at all. I have been stuck in this position for over XXXX years because of their refusal to correct this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I purchase a used XXXX XXXX vehicle from a dealership in XXXX, Illinois. Months to a year later, the car started having a lot of difficulties that wasn't covered in the warranty I received from the dealership. Once the car was sold to me, the dealership was unresponsive and didn't assist me any further. I found myself putting so much money into a vehicle that I had just purchased. A few years later, I contacted the finance company which is credit acceptance and asked could they pick up the vehicle. It was running at the time and I've had enough of putting so much money into this car. They picked it up. I voluntary gave them the car back thinking I was dong the right thing. They sold it to the auction, etc.. I received a bill that was the full price of the car. Remind you, I paid this car note for years before I called to return it. As of today, I have a hold on my bank account, I have no attorney and all of my funds are froozed. The amount owed doubled and credit acceptance is not communicating to me why. I need assistance asap.

Consumer Complaint: I signed a loan in XXXX XXXX XXXX for a car loan. This loan was through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I was told I wouldnt be able to finance a car that day because I had no credit. XXXX XXXX claims they accept everyone, even people without credit. I was told I needed a co-signer, so I got XXXX. I was young and just crashed my car. I needed a car desperately. I got wrapped up into a high monthly payment. When going over the loan paperwork only my co-signer was spoken to and was given a break down. Not me. Now Im trapped in this loan, I either have to ruin my credit or keep paying this high loan every month. I cant keep paying with sacrificing my well being. Nor can I keep up on maintenance on the car if I keep paying this loan. The dealership and credit acceptance didnt take the time to listen to me, they even signed the contact with the wrong email. I had to call credit acceptance to change my email and number. My co-signed also wasnt required to put his email. They instead let home just use my email. I have limited ability to contact my co-signed also. So I struggle to even get him off the loan so I can try and trade it in. Any course of action I take will result in my credit going down, having no car, or keep paying this car XXXX cant afford.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024 XXXX XXXX ( contracted by Credit Acceptance ) repossessed my vehicle from my residence. Due to the incline of my driveway and the way they towed the vehicle out of the driveway, they drug the front end of my vehicle approximately 10-15 feet with the frame/subframe on the paved driveway. This has caused severe damage to critical components of the engine as well as completely destroyed the entire front clip of the vehicle. Ive tried contacting both XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance to no avail. This vehicle is a very low mileage classical collectors item that was still factory original other than performance upgrades. Now it will never be worth what it was due to these damages caused by XXXX XXXX and their employees. Also approximately {$5000.00} worth of electronics, power tools, and items of great sentimental value either missing ( stolen by XXXX XXXX & employees ) or destroyed/broken ( by careless acts by XXXX XXXX & its Employees ) discovered after getting vehicle back into my possession. So now I have a car loan for a car that isnt even worth half of what the loan is due to XXXX XXXX negligence and blatant unprofessional conduct.
