Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corporation received my application and it was deposited into their financial institution in which it is recorded as an asset for Credit Acceptance Corporation. The goods I purchased that day in good faith and exchanged my signature which is the estate property along with the identification number issued by the social security administration. The note gains interest monthly and has a payout date of maturity in 10 years or less. The note has been sold and has earned as of XX/XX/2024 just over XXXX XXXX dollars and this security is the estate property and the goods have been seized even though Credit Acceptance Corporation knowingly should have applied the equitable interest from my investment to the account for settling. I do believe Credit Acceptance Corporation has violated international commerce laws, security trading laws, and committed tax evasion.

Consumer Complaint: I ended up purchasing a car from a not so reputable dealership out of desperation to have a safe vehicle for my family. Little did I know I was signing into terms, that were not accurately provided to me and had additional hidden fees. Fast forward a few months I had XXXX unfortunate back to back situations that caused me to be late on my payments. As a responsible consumer I reached out to notify them of my situation to see if there was any assistance they could provide. Initially I asked if the payment could be moved to the back of the loan because typically thats what auto loans usually do. I was advised the company doesnt do that and all they could do is break the payments up. I spoke several times to someone, who then assured me my account was in good standing, but then I just received a letter stating if Im ever late again they will repossess the car without notice. I dont know what type of practice that is but this has been one of the worst financial decisions Ive made, I truly regret it. I provided the CEO XXXX XXXX and the compliance analyst XXXX XXXX emails advising I have a hurricane that came in my area which led me to relocate my family and that I struggled to buy food and had no electricity, the following month I lost my grandmother and did not work for a month as I went home to be with family and physically couldnt function to work on a daily basis. I provided proof via email and also had conversations with XXXX. He advised my account was current and that he was sorry I had unfortunate situations but it was nothing he could do. Now Im receiving a letter saying if Im ever late again theyll repossess the car without notice. Thats truly insensitive, I had legitimate reasons why I fell behind and tried to work something out so that they knew what was going on. I really feel the way this was handled was unprofessional and inconsiderate. Calls are recorded so it can be played back to note there was never a conversation regarding default.

Consumer Complaint: I recently sent in a complaint to Credit Acceptance about late payments they are reporting to the 3 credit agencies. Credit Acceptance responded saying they are in compliance witht the fair credit reporting act but I completely disagree. I have attached their response with my written notes and violations Credit acceptance is clearly in violation of without a doubt. I want this account to be updated before I think about pursuing for damages that I could be entitled to under the fcra. I've been looking hard into this using the CFPB 's resources and reading up on the law and I'm more than sure I am correct. I am sending this via mail to Credit Acceptance as well and now copy the NJ state attorney general. This account continues to damage my character unfairly and I need resolve

Consumer Complaint: I received a car loan through Credit Acceptance. The car was totaled in a hailstorm in 2023. They had the car towed and it was no longer in my possession. They repeatedly contacted me, stating I had a balance. Once the balance was paid, they continued to report me to the Credit Bureaus. Also, before the car was totaled, they repeatedly reported me to the credit bureaus stating I was XXXX days late on my payments when I was not.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a second complaint regarding my initial complaint and disappointment with how my issues are all being dismissed. I appreciate your attention to this matter, but there are crucial issues that remain unaddressed : 1. Payment Confusion and Cancellation : - My initial payment of {$880.00}, intended for the release of my car, was reportedly missing from your records. This led to my decision to cancel the subsequent payment scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX, to avoid the risk of additional lost payments. The XX/XX/XXXX payment was intended as an additional payment but due to the ongoing issue of the previous missing payment, I canceled the payment scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX until the {$880.00} payment was found and resolved. 2. Car Condition Post-Repossession : - Prior to repossession, a diagnostic report dated XX/XX/2024, confirmed my car was free of any issues. However, upon its return, I discovered multiple new problems, indicated by eight different error codes. - The conflicting information about the safety of driving my car, ranging from being deemed unsafe even in a parking lot to suddenly being cleared for pickup without explanation, is alarming and confusing. The lack of paperwork or explanation regarding these sudden issues is unacceptable. 3. Missing Property and Damage : - Upon retrieval of my vehicle, I noticed missing personal property and the new diagnostic errors. These discrepancies raise serious concerns about the handling of my car during its repossession. 4. Financial and Emotional Strain : - I acknowledge the repossession occurred due to my financial difficulties. However, the damages to my car, the loss of my property, and the inconsistent communication have only exacerbated my situation. - I am now faced with the dual burden of high monthly payments and additional repair costs for damages incurred during the repossession process. - I feel there is a discriminatory element in this process, targeting individuals in challenging financial situations, potentially leading to further financial strain and disadvantage. In light of these issues, I request a thorough investigation into the handling of my car 's repossession and an explanation for the damages and missing property. I also seek a resolution for the financial and emotional distress caused by these events. Attached are the diagnostic reports from XX/XX/XXXX and post-recovery, highlighting the discrepancies in the car 's condition. I look forward to your prompt and constructive response. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE has repeatedly communicated with me both directly and indirectly by duress and coercion. My vehicle was repossessed which they had no right to do as there is no UCC filed meaning no lien is present. Theyve sent multiple correspondence lowering the price in order for them to remove. They went as low as requesting me to pay {$2000.00} and they would delete and remove because they are aware that I truly owe them nothing. The car was paid for at the consummation of the transaction to which I had no awareness. The contract was also subject to arbitration to which CREDIT ACCEPTANCE failed to comply by and illegally and unlawfully repossessed my car and still trying to purchase the debt.
