Consumer Complaint: I am writing to complain about the unfair and inaccurate reporting of my auto loan delinquency on my credit report. I experienced financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic, which made it difficult for me to make my loan payments on time. I contacted my lender and explained my situation, but they were not willing to work with me on a payment plan or other accommodations. As a result, I missed several payments between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. My loan is now paid off but the delinquency marks remain on my credit report. I have tried to dispute these marks with the credit reporting agencies, but they have not removed them.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint against Credit Acceptance Corp regarding the handling of my vehicle purchase and subsequent repossession in XXXX. I believe that the company 's actions have caused me significant financial hardship, and I request your assistance in resolving this matter. My name is XXXX XXXX, and I reside at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MI XXXX. In XXXX, I purchased a vehicle from Credit Acceptance Corp. However, to my dismay, the vehicle was repossessed in XXXX. Since then, I have been in communication with the company, requesting a financially reasonable offer of settlement. Unfortunately, Credit Acceptance Corp has repeatedly refused to provide such an offer. Compounding my frustration, I recently discovered that Credit Acceptance Corp has begun garnishing my wages in XXXX. This sudden action has only exacerbated my financial difficulties, particularly considering the prolonged period of negotiation and lack of resolution from the company 's side. Furthermore, I am aware that Credit Acceptance Corp is currently under investigation for similar behavior. This knowledge raises concerns about the company 's practices and underscores the urgency of my complaint. In light of the above, I kindly request the following : 1. Immediate cessation of all garnishments from my wages, as this has caused severe financial strain. 2. Thorough investigation into Credit Acceptance Corp 's handling of my case, specifically regarding their refusal to offer a financially reasonable settlement and their delayed initiation of garnishment. 3. Appropriate financial compensation for the hardships I have endured, taking into account the prolonged negotiations and the company 's alleged misconduct. I trust that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will take my complaint seriously and work towards a fair resolution. Consumer Complaint: The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was repossessed on XXXX of XXXX and seized in the parking lot of my gated community. There was no just cause for the notice or early repossession policy. The car was towed from the property without the keys to the vehicle. There was full coverage insurance on the vehicle as well as new tires and rims that i purchased. The settlement was paid in full and no arrangement was made to give the vehicle back after the auction. The vehicle was arranged to be delivered back after settlement arrangements.

Consumer Complaint: I financed my 1st car with Credit acceptance not knowing how much pain and suffering this company would put me through. Originally, this car was priced roughly {$13000.00}. Credit acceptance added a 20 % interest rate, making this car over {$22000.00}. I was struggling to pay my car note of almost {$400.00} every month along with my car insurance. I became XXXX and was working extra the whole time just so I could be able to pay my car note and try to save extra money to cover the future payments after I had my baby. Eventually, I ran out of money and had to make the hard decision of voluntarily surrendering the vehicle. Fast forward, I am now being sued for the deficiency balance plus additional fees and interest totaling over {$7000.00}. I am XXXX XXXX, single mother and have no assets. I have no money to give this company and I do not feel that they deserve another XXXX from me after experiencing how this company takes advantage of their consumers.

Consumer Complaint: I fell behind on payments in XXXX of XXXXMy payments were XXXX a month. The car was repossessed in XXXX of XXXX. I had to pay around XXXX dollars ( but was past due XXXX months including XXXX to be around {$2500.00} and XXXX a month late fees to be a total of {$2500.00}, They have around XXXX past due ). I asked about a payment arrangement to get caught up but they never really gave me one. They stated that I needed to pay XXXX at the end of XXXX. I missed that payment date but paid XXXX the XXXX week of XX/XX/XXXX and another XXXX at the end of XXXX. I continued to pay as I could and ended up calling them in XXXX of XXXX to set up a payment arrangement as by that time they had me past due {$4300.00}. The advised me to start paying XXXX every XXXX weeks. I continued to pay and as of XXXX I am still past due {$3700.00}. The offers they are giving me dont seem to be paying off the past due balance at all. Even with a few payment not being the total amount it never seems to pay off the past due amount. They can never give me an explanation or what they do give doesnt even make any sense. The balance started out at XXXX balance now is XXXX. Thank you in advance
