Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from yall stating that you were trying to give me my title, never have I had a conversation with Credit Acceptance over a title yall have constantly called me about paying my note which I did all up until no one would give me my tags I had finance in I lost my job, I have to pay XXXX to take me everywhere XXXX $ Ive took the biggest financial lost Im now behind on every bill I called XXXX at the revenue office in XXXX AR right in of their employee XXXX XXXX when she told me something wasnt right because people come in here all the time with checks for XXXX never this little though it was only XXXX XXXX Who answered the phone said Credit Acceptance said no which had me and XXXX puzzled because if yall said no why did I receive a check. Then I call credit acceptance and found out yall did finance my tags in but I still never received them I call yall assured me me you would get me my tags then I never got them. The contract is a void I never signed it nor did I ask them to put a extra extended warranty on my car then XXXX XXXX stated I had to have gap insurance or no deal the day I first contacted yall and asked to be out this contract which was bogus and a void you told me it was up to the dealership Never once did yall try helping me. After that I took a good look at the contract which I never signed I have been working on my credit a year now and I know my credit was not bad but yall finance me at XXXX and I still havent received my credit report but dont worry I will they charge me XXXX for financing. He told me I would only pay XXXX for the car for 28 months as as you can see on the contract cash price XXXX but he charged me XXXX and when Im done paying I will be paying what the car is worth with when it came out then XXXX kept trying to tell me my credit was low that credit Acceptance said I only had the option of two cars a XXXX and a XXXX that came in the day before I picked out and XXXX XXXX XXXX But XXXX said yall told me I couldnt have it because of my credit I was totally taken advantage of everything I built credit wise yall have taken from me then call me everyday a bout a carnote that was voided when you refuse to give me my tags then I tried fixing this problem with the XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted me again stating that weee gon na figure out how to get you your tags then you responded to the XXXX stating you seen a paper I signed for a withdraw from my account yes you did for them to take my paper out each month. XXXX falsified I only got back XXXX in taxes I gave XXXX XXXX and bought furniture from XXXX XXXX with the rest I contacted yall when you overdrated my account twice which raised my car note up to the point that y felt like this car deal has dragged me to my lowest. Neither time did you try to help me when u knew for a fact the whole deal was fraud at its finest but I have a copy of everything and not just me the XXXX Inspector General Attorney General XXXX XXXX Financing fraud, Fraudulent misrepresentations, deceptive practices unethical immoral behavior. When i feel scammed by XXXX and Credit Acceptance, im hiring a lawyer. Someone sign my name on the back of that title too I financed that car XXXX knowing Im on a set income, my daughter SSI my Son only got XXXX in SSI and XXXX in child support thats comes on the first no other day I feel like I was set up up to fail when I left to go pick up my son from school in the middle of financing I can get documentation it was around XXXX thats when I believe that contract was tampered with but at the end of the day I still didnt get my tags he kept saying I had bad credit and my credit wasnt bad he said credit Acceptance almost wouldnt take the deal and I called yall and told you exactly what was going on and not one time did yall try to fix I call yall trying to fix it when I started my job and still no tags so credit Acceptance is just as responsible than XXXX XXXX interest rate paid thats on a XXXX dollars less that what the car is worthThen yall come take the car without offering me My belongings we all know why tho, but XX/XX/XXXX it was already a breach of contract when I never received my contract this whole. I want this off my credit I want my money back, everything I lose will have back

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORPORAT. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX and CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORPORAT with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX were reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late XX/XX/XXXX / XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I put XXXX down on a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Dealer located In XXXX my payment would be low and so my tags would be financed in because I didnt work but my son and daughter Both receive XXXX at the time which comes on the XX/XX/XXXX of each month and my son gets child support they used those documents to finance meMy contract says XXXX but I only put down XXXX. XXXX Said I couldnt get the XXXX XXXX XXXX because XXXX XXXX said I only had two options A hatchback and that XXXX XXXX XXXX which someone had traded in the day before because of my credit history. I said well if I put my XXXX down finance my tags in because I dont work and I my brother is sick with als I cant go without a vehicle Im his power attorney and they tried charging me XXXX to finance my tags when thats the reason I gave them XXXX and was a great and today the XXXX a at the mileage and good condition the car was in only worth XXXX was upset but they had already ran my credit I wasnt letting no one else, He said he would sell the car for XXXX for 24 months then he told me I could get the car without Gap insurance which most of it goes to his commission which made my payment XXXX wayyyOut Of my budget I was hoping for XXXX or XXXX Im a unemployed single mother of XXXX .. but it was verbal only XXXX XXXX said it took a lot to get You fianc because of my repo and credit history And inquires my scores was wasnt bad when XXXX XXXX sold me a bad vehicle and because I had no knowledge about dealerships and them using shotgun the shot XXXX approached to finance I did blow my credit score up with inquires, I only had 1 repo in XX/XX/XXXX that comes out in XX/XX/XXXX, nothing major and I had been building my credit because after how bad XXXX did me and cause me to lose everything I studied luckily I wrote a letter of revocation and showed proof to the credit unions and had XXXX removed that raised my score, I got approved for a XXXX XXXX credit card, I also got approved for a XXXX account and writing the credit union removing inquires because I wanted the best interest rates, I got XXXX XXXX for XXXX down and my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX me for Mobile Home. After I lost everything I applied for a loan at XXXX and she told me all I needed to do was have a car loan to get my score where I need to be I lock all my credit scores and paid everything on time and I even have XXXX XXXX then and now only thing that looked real bad on my score besides the repo was The inquires I had obtain trying to get refinance XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX before I realize the damage and I turn every dealership into XXXX and a lot of those unauthorized inquiries were taking off I have documentation on everything Ok when I was finishing up XXXX told me to told me to go in the back and finish my paperwork with this guy idk his name but it was a big guy and he said bare with him he dont normally work back back thereI told him I want my carnote to be automatically to be pulled from my account and I signed a consent form because I was trying to do better with my priorities after losing everything he said your first payment will be due on XX/XX/XXXX, I said no Im on a set income and the money want be there on the XX/XX/XXXX checks dont got till the first and Im not working he was suppose to fix it I had to get up and go get my son from school.. I My tags were set to got out XX/XX/XXXX so I went by their early and said I need the paperwork And the blonde lady at the desk said dont worry we will register it for me. I let a lot of things go over my head but I no dealership has every registered my car even Car-today And My last dealership paid for my tags but I still registered it, then one day the same woman called me up there to pick up my check for my tags gave me all the stuff they said my sales tax was XXXX something but the check was only XXXX I thought maybe they paid their half and XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX said something aint right they didnt even pay half of your taxes. She said everyone else that buys from them that come in here have never had checks this small and your paperwork says that were financed in you need to call the dealerships and she whats going on and when I called they told me XXXX XXXX said no. I went back and told XXXX at the revenue office she said said call XXXX XXXX. So I did and made a complaint I said XXXX said yall told them no on financing my tags thats when they told me your tags are financed in and. then I said this whole car deal is bad I want out then the woman said its up to the dealership, she then said gon na see how she can get me my tags and I never heard back thats when I took a good look at the contract and realized no matter how much you study a man needs to go with you cause XXXX did me in they finance my XXXX XXXX XXXX At XXXX the value only XXXX on a good day the interest rate XXXX financed charges XXXX total sale price XXXX it was only worth XXXX when it came out., I lost my job, they the over draft fee when they tried pulling my car note out on the XX/XX/XXXX cause my car note to go up to XXXX. I gave them consent to take out my account but not on the XX/XX/XXXX when I only get paid on the XX/XX/XXXX not one time did XXXX XXXX or XXXX try to work with me and see whe went on. The I turned them in to FTC and. XXXX and a women called me the next day asking what happen I told her I told yall months ago b4 it got this bad calling harassing everyday even if I talked to u the day before, then she said your tags have been registered we received papers as the Lienholder and I still got my paperworker the title paper I didnt register it I got a car outside that I spent all my tax money on I cand even drive I take XXXX everyday and its breaking me Im behind on every bill, I started school XX/XX/XXXX but I got XXXX quit because I cant afford XXXX prices and feed my kids and I cant get my needed documents in I cant take my kids to the park my brother is in his Last stages of XXXX I cant even see him Ive been in the house since my tags went outthe woman never called back but they wrote the XXXX saying I gave them consent to pull out my account yes I did but not on the XXXX why would I do it came be late I never received a copy of my credit score I still dont know who registered my car and why I paid down XXXX for a XXXX XXXX XXXX why I couldnt pick my own car and why my pay paperwork says XXXX that my tags was financed in but I dont have the tags or nor did I pay XXXX this contract should be void Trying to do better I feel like I was set up to fail I wan na know my credit score the day they pulled it I wan na know. Fraudulent Misrepresentation is what you call it Negligent misrepresentation. The Contract is a lie XXXX And XXXX XXXX have cause me huge financial losses XXXX XXXX calls you all day everyday They havent responded backed to XXXX XXXX help me. They had two warrantys on my contact on I never new Of and someone signed my name to the title I ask to be out the bad deal when I first contacted XXXX XXXX. Ive lost everything they came and got the car.. I contacted the CFPB, XXXX, FTC, and applied for legal aid the whole contract is a void I gave them permission to take my payment out monthly on the XX/XX/XXXX not XXXX more dollars to finance my tags I want my money back me and my kids are careless now XXXX said I had to have gap insurance and he also told me my credit wasnt good enough to get the XXXX XXXX or I to get that gap insurance had to couldnt get the car, he also told me the car was only XXXX ... they charge me XXXX to finance my car and at a XXXX interest rate I never received my credit score .... I was taking advantage the contract is a complete void and I never new of the XXXX extended Warranty they overdrafted my accound twice raising my carnote .. I hit a pothole paid XXXX for the damages and still paid my car note and almost lost my home and when they refused to give me my tags and I realize the whole contract was void I no longer could to pay every since I paid for the pot hole damages I been behind on everything this car and dealership has put me in the worst financial situation they bumped my payments up to XXXX .... I lost my job after they refused to gives me my tags someone signed my name to the back of the title I lost XXXX dollars I dont work thats why I asked for my tags to be financed.. Ive reached out to everyone these last 6 months I dont know when but they came and got the car, my only mistake was going to that dealership my myself they lied and scammed me and took my money and car. I had been working so hard to get my credit up Im XXXX out now

I have called them about reporting a late payment on my account that wasnt correct and when I called the lady wa every rude too me, and told me that everything that they report is always correct. I went on their website looked at reviews and noticed it has happened to a lot of people. In XXXX they said I was late 30-59 days. I have two payments in XXXX one on the XXXX and another one on the XXXX. I have pictures on my phone the two times I paid. The lady wouldnt even look up my account she was just flat out rude.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance has been calling my wife on the due date of our payment until they receive payment 3 or more times a day. Not only do we pay for our car we pay it and have never missed a payment or slow paid. They charge us up to {$12.00} to make a payment which to me is fraud and its something we were not made aware of when we bought our vehicle. I talked to someone today and Credot Acceptance and they stated they are not a primary lender so they dont have to stop calling. You guys need to do your job and enforce what the trade commission has laid out for these companies. I feel sorry for people who dont make their payment for what they do to them and harass. I was clear on my phone call to them. I stated what the FTC says they can and cant do for collection practices. They more or less said we dont care. We will do what we want. In that case I will too. So Im giving you an opportunity to fix this problem before I take the matter into my own hands.

Consumer Complaint: I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX Veteran and Because of my illness and how fast the process went when purchasing this vehicle I was unaware that this vehicle would almost double before I could pay it off due to unforeseen interest rates that I was not made aware of when I purchased this car. My credit score was a XXXX and the Interest rate is too high for my credit rating. Now, I can not even afford my own home because my debt to income ratio because of this car is too high. I can't even refinance it for a lower rate because all of the lenders and rejecting me because I owe too much for this car still after paying my note for about 2 years and still owing XXXXon a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. Please help me I am homeless. Also, My name is incorrect on their contract which they have as XXXX my last name is XXXX therefore makes this contract null and void. Which shall show as proof that I did not agree to the high interest rates of credit acceptance. And it was signed using an electronic signature that the dealer asked me to sign agreeing to pay XXXX for the car. I never was presented with the XXXX contract for this car.

THE CAR WAS XXXX AND Y PUT DOWN XXXX ... HOW IS THE INTEREST WAY MY THAN WHAT THE CAR COST??? THAT SEEMS TO ME OVER 110 % IN INTEREST ... IS THAT EVEN LEGAL????? I HAVE CONTACTED THEM SEVERAL TIMES ... INVESTIGATION # 1 I WAS ASKED FOR PAPERS TO BACK UP WHAT I WAS TELLING THEM ABOUT THE PRICE BEEN XXXX, OF COURSE I CALLED THE DEALER SPOKE TO THE OWNER, THE OWNER AGREES WITH ME, THAT THE PRICE WAS {$6300.00}, THAT HE HAD NO IDEA WHERE THEY ( CREDIT ACCEPTANCE ) CAME UP WITH {$12000.00} AFTER, BUT THE PAPERWORK WAS PUT AWAYIN STORAGE BECAUSE IS OVER 1 YR, SO HE HAD TO LOOK FOR IT.I CALLED CREDIT ACCEPTANCE ALMOST EVERY DAY TO KEEP THEM INFORMED, AND AWARE OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH ME SENDING THE PAPERS I WAS ASKED, I TOLD THEM THAT XXXX ( THE OWNER OF THE DEALER ) WAS TAKING A LITTLE LONGER DUE TO THE PAPERS BEING SENT TO STORAGE.ON THE 10TH DAY I CALLED CREDIT ACCEPTANCE AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I DIDN'T PROVIDE PAPERWORK FOR 10 DAYS THEY CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING TO STAY THE SAME, TO MAKE A PAYMENT OR THE CAR WAS GON NA GET REPO, I ASKED THEM TO SEND ME THE WHOLE INVESTIGATION THEY DID BY MAIL. STILL HAVEN'T GET IT, IT'S BEEN AROUND ANOTHER WEEK WHICH I CALL BACK AND SOMEHOW I WAS ABLE TO GET THEM TO REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION AND GIVE ME MORE TIME WITH THE PAYMENT, I HAVE TILL XX/XX/XXXX BEFORE THEY TAKE THE CAR .I ALSO ASKED TO BE CONTACTED BY SOMEONE HIGHER THAN JUST CUSTOMER SERVICE, STILL WAITING IS BEEN 3 DAYS ( TODAY XX/XX/XXXX ) AT THIS POINT I HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN A LAWYER HE GOT ALL THE PAPERWORK, HE IS LOOKING INTO IT AND I GUESS WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO COURT SINCE NOBODY FROM CREDIT ACCEPTANCE SEEMS TO WAN NA COMMUNICATE OR MAKE THIS RIGHT. FOR THR RECORD THE DEALER GOT A CHECK FROM CREDIT ACCEPTANCE FOR {$6300.00}, I GOT THIS INFO FROM THE DEALERS OWNER, HE SHOWED IT TO ME IN THE COMPUTER, AND CREDIT ACCEPTANCE TOLD ME THE SAME NUMBER WHEN I SPOKE TO THEM AND ASKED HOW MUCH THEY PAID THE DEALER. SO RIGHT THERE THERES NO WAY TO EXPLAIN THE {$12000.00} I WAS CHARGED .I AM GON NA ATTACKED THE CONTRACT TO THIS COMPLAIN AS WELL BECAUSE AS FAR AS I KNOW THE DOWN PAYMENT GETS SUBTRACTED OF THE INITIAL PRICE BEFORE ADDING TAXES AND INTEREST, BUT IF WE GO BY THE CONTRACT, ITS NOT THE CASE EATHER XXXX BTW I'M SURE ANYONE THAT READS THIS WONDERS WHY I DIDN'T LOOK AT THE PAPERWORK WHEN I WAS SIGNING TO BEGIN WITH, CREDIT ACCEPTANCE SENT A PERSON THAT WAS GON NA HAVE ME SIGN, THIS PERSON CAME IN WITH A 7 '' BY 4 '' TABLET, THAT WERE I WAS SUPPOSED TO SIGN. THERE WAS NO CONTRACT ON THE SCREEN JUST A PLACE TO INITIAL AND FULL SIGNATURE, TOTALLY MY MISTAKE I TRUSTED THAT IT WAS GON NA BE WHAT WE HAD ALREADY SPOKEN B4, I DID NOT DOUBLE-CHECK ANY PRICING OR INTEREST, AND NO I DID NOT GET A COPY OF IT NEITHER THERE OR BY MAIL. I THOUGHT IT WAS GON NA BE ONE OF THOSE LONG PAPERS THAT HAS SEVERAL COPIES AND THEY GIVE YOU 1 ONCE THE DEAL IS DONE ... .THAT NEVER HAPPENED,,, ,NOT REALLY SMART OF ME, I KNOW, BUT I'M A TRUSTING PERSON, I DID NOT THOUGHT FOR A SECOND THAT THIS WAS GON NA HAPPEN, PROOF OF ME NEVER SEING THE CONTRACT IS THAT TOOK A WHOLE YEAR UNTIL I DECIDE TO PAY OFF THE CAR THAT I REALIZE THE WHOLE CATASTROPHE GOING ON. I REALLY WANT MY VOICE TO BE HEARD MORE THAN ANYTHING AND TO ACTUALLY GET THIS DONE RIGHT BECAUSE IT IS NOT FAIR. IT IS NOT FAIR THAT I AM AS SICK AS I AM, AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH A COMPANY WITH NO PROFESSIONALISM OR COMPASSION WHAT SO EVER .MY IXXXX XXXX IS SHATTERED TO PIECES, WE ALL KNOW WHAT XXXX CAN DO TO AN XXXX XXXX PERSON AND THIS SITUATION IS DEFINITELY NOT HELPING MY HEALTH AT ALL, I EVEN TOLD CREDIT ACCEPTANCE TO TAKE THE CAR AND THAT IT, MIND IT, IF WE DO THE MATH AND CALCULATE THE REAL CAR PRICE XXXX - THE DOWN PAYMENT XXXX - XXXX I HAD PAY THEM SO FAR, LOOKS TO ME THAT I AM THE OWNER OF THIS CAR ALREADY.PLEASSSSSSSSSSEEEEE SOMEONE HELP ME OUT. Consumer Complaint: I financed a vehicle through Credit Acceptance. I week after purchasing, major mechanical damage was discovered, resulting in Cred. Accptnc. to do what they call " pass '' on the vehicle. Pass meaning they were not going to attempt to repossess it due to the extent of the mechanical failures that were present at the time of purchase. The major mechanical issues did not appear until about a week after I had driven the vehicle home. The original seller of the vehicle had reset the fault codes to make the car appear in working condition. After the pass Cred. Accptnc. begin offering a settlement to settle out the account which were twice as much as the vehicles worth. In XX/XX/2017 the vehicle was impacted by Hurricane Harvey. I informed Cred. Accptnc. who then begin to report this on my credit file. The account was sent charged off and reported as such on my credit file. Every month for the past 8-9 months there are inconsistencies with their reporting to credit agencies. The total balance due and past due amounts seem to fluctuate, increasing each month. I contracted XXXX XXXX who informed me that legally once an account is charged off, a creditor is only allowed to charges a specific amount of interest. Cred. Accptnc. has been reporting inaccuracies on an almost monthly basis. I have disputed this account every month for the past 6 months. Each dispute has ended with Cred. Accptnc. having to correct the past/balance due only to report it incorrectly again the following month by adding to my balance/past due amount. I contacted them and asked them to cease from further inaccurate reporting, per the request of XXXX XXXX XXXX, because it is doing major damage to my credit file. Each time it is reported inaccurately it is taking away 68-70 points from my credit score. I spoke with the 3 credit bureaus who advised me to file a complaint with the XXXX and if necessary, take legal action. My credit fluctuates 68-70 points every other month making it almost impossible to stabilize my credit. The credit reporting inaccuracies and inconsistencies have been occurring for quite some time now. The account was reported as charged off several times, the latest being inXX/XX/2017. The law states that creditors can not increase the balances and past due amounts on charged off accounts but are allowed to charge interest but only up to a certain percentage. At the time of the account being reported as charged off in XX/XX/2017 the balance was XXXX. Creditors are required to maintain the charged off amount when reporting plus a limited amount of interest, if any. Once charged off late payment are not to continue to increase due to the charged off status. Credit Acceptance made claims that my balance and past due amount increased on my credit report as more payment is due/became past due, but the amount of the increase that has been/is being reported is inconsistent with the monthly payment amount of XXXX. My balances over the last few months have fluctuated from XXXX, to XXXX, back to XXXX, to XXXX, sometimes changing without a 30 billing period in between. The amounts reported continue to fluctuate up and down and have been more and sometimes less than the amount of the monthly payment.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I purchased a used vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX, at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, North Carolina XXXX. The purchase included an extended warranty with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a term of 24 months or 24,000 miles. On XX/XX/2018 the vehicle started presenting issues ( running hot ) and ceased working, and it was towed to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX was unable to repair the vehicle and it was moved to XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX ran diagnostics on the vehicle and discovered the vehicle gaskets were nit working and the motor/engine needed to be replaced. An adjustor from XXXX did visit XXXX XXXX to estimate the damage and XXXX refused to honor the signed contract and pay for repairs on the vehicle.
