Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I have two car loans with Credit Acceptance. One loan has been opened since XX/XX/XXXX and the other since XX/XX/XXXX. I have always paid my car loans either on time or EARLY. I had just moved and started a new job so I am a total of 3 days late on my current payment. In two days, I have received over 11 calls from credit acceptance telling me to call them regarding my loan. I answered this morning and the man I spoke to was demanding a payment today when I told him I just started a new job and my payment wouldnt be until next Saturday he continued asking me my pay schedule. I expressed my upset with the man due to the amount of calls Ive been receiving as Im trying to work and my phone keeps going off at work and I keep getting in trouble. The man then THREATENED to send me to collections for a payment that is 3 DAYS LATE and stated that the next day after a payment is late it gets sent to collections! I am beyond livid and extremely upset with the fact that they can treat their customers this way! This will be reported to the XXXX as well as a horrible review left on XXXX! This is TERRIBLE customer service!

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I spoke with Credit Acceptance after remaining balance was due after total vehicle loss. They worked out a monthly payment plan to be paid until paid in full. Payments of {$250.00} have been made each month since the agreement and the company still reported my account as delinquent. They informed me it didnt matter that I had an agreement to pay monthly and have been making my payments on time every month, that its still considered delinquent and Im in default. I have made four payments of {$250.00} since XXXX of this year ( 2018 ) with no issues or reporting to the credit agency. I did call to discuss this matter as to why they reported me and they told me they have the right to report me even though we agreed on a payment arrangement because I have not paid them in full and I am not paying them interest no longer.

Consumer Complaint: I've contacted Credit Acceptance, asking them to verify the debt. Along with all the original documents along with my signature. I was given a balance over the phone of {$4000.00} to pay off my debt. Now the balance is now over XXXX. Despite me contacting them and asking them to verify my debt. They continue to report late payments to my credit report, and have failed to send me any settlement offers or verify the debt owed. I no longer have the vehicle so I'm not understanding why they are asking for a large amount when the vehicle has been sold.
