Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I purchased this truck through CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP after I filed for bankruptcy the vehicle loan was not included in the bankruptcy. I found out that CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP decided on their own to list the vehicle financing in the bankruptcy. I called the finance company and tried to explain that the vehicle was not included in the bankruptcy but the finance company wouldn't listen and has listed the loan on my credit report as closed and isn't reporting any payment information thus affecting my credit negatively. They now require me to sign a reaffirmation document which I should not have to sign because the loan wasn't included in the bankruptcy.

Consumer Complaint: I had a loan with Credit Acceptance Corp and it was the worst mistake of my life. So I refinanced this loan but I wish I had refinanced sooner but they were giving me inaccurate information about refinancing. I refinanced the loan with XXXX and I wish I had done it sooner. I got a call from a collection agency stating that I owed a small balance. I sent them a certified letter asking why they say I owed a balance when I had a letter stating that my account was paid in full. I received another letter from Credit Acceptance stating that my account was paid in Full in XX/XX/XXXX. But in XX/XX/XXXX they reported to all 3 credit bureaus that the account is in collections. The company then sent me another letter stating that my account was paid in full. The company even sent me a refund check for {$47.00} in over payment to my account. My credit report did not show any late payments before they sent this straight to collections and it is now it is still on all of my reports even though I have been disputing it and it caused me to be denied another car loan.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I bought a XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX dealership in XXXX XXXX, LA. I agreed to a 2 yr lease and was told after that I could return the car for another one of my choice. When the time came along. They had no information on the loan. I lost my job soon after and the car was possessed. I was never notified that i had a court date, however my check began to be garnished then i recieved the notice. Whenever I called the company they said I owed XXXX would like to sue them for fraudulent contract, economically targeting poor people and minorities. Also I would very much appreciate it every case be investigated individuality and ALL unfair wages be compensated. As well as criminal charges be bought on the ones responsible. Lastly I request that the company be shut down or sold.

Consumer Complaint: About 2 1/2 years ago I purchased a truck from XXXX 's XXXX XXXX located on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, N.Y. The price was {$14000.00} I gave them {$3000.00} down and financed the balance through Credit Acceptance, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Mi. XXXX. I was told by XXXX 's XXXX XXXX that in order for me to get financed I had to put an extended warranty on the vehicle, I explained that the vehicle would be used at times for commercial purposes. They told me " don't put any lettering on the vehicle. '' I canceled the extended warranty because it did not cover the truck if it was used for commercial purposes. I was told that the cost and finance charges for the warranty would come off the back end of the loan. After further reading the paperwork I realized XXXX 's XXXX XXXX had arbitrarily raised the price to {$17000.00} without telling me and after I paid them the down payment of {$3000.00}. When I confronted them I was told that Credit Acceptance told them to raise the price, all this without ever telling me they were raising the price. So I called Credit Acceptance and complained about the bait and switch, they denied ever telling XXXX 's XXXX XXXX to do that. I told them I wanted this corrected and was told their legal dept would contact me. The Legal Dept never contacted me but when I got behind in my payment Credit Acceptance had the truck repossessed without warning and by that I mean I had to agree to let XXXX 's XXXX XXXX put a device on the truck that would beep 3 times as a warning that a payment was due. The contract stated that this warning would be every time I started the truck for three days and if payment was not received then the device would not let me start the truck. I did not receive any warning as per the agreement in the contract. After the truck was repossessed I was never given any information about what it sold for at auction, as required by law, or that the {$3000.00} added to the truck by XXXX 's XXXX XXXX or the credit for the canceled extended warranty was ever credited to me. When I called Credit Acceptance about all of this complaint I was told just give us {$5000.00} and we will call it even. I want this removed from my credit report and shown as paid.
