Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on XX/XX/2020 regarding XXXX I have repeatedly asked XXXX both on-line and by certified letter as is my right under the FCRA 611 ( a ) ( 7 ) for a complete description of all methods used to investigate my dispute regarding an inaccurate report of an auto loan from Credit Acceptance Corporation. XXXX has NOT provided this information. They responded to my complaint filed with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau by sending a copy of my credit report via first class mail. They DID NOT provide me with the requested Methods of Verification of the dispute with Credit Acceptance Corporation. I DEMAND XXXX provide me with WRITTEN Methods of Verification of my dispute or delete this item from my credit report permanently. I can not move forward with a police report without information including signed contract, the business where automobile was purchased, date of transaction and ID provided at the transaction. I have also requested this information from Credit Acceptance Corporation on MULTIPLE occassions with NO response.

Consumer Complaint: Purchased a car from credit acceptance back in XX/XX/XXXX. At first everything was fine I was paying {$370.00} a month if I couldn't make the payment I did an arrangement online. So skipping to XXXX every since XXXX of XXXX all they do is call and call even after making payments. They called yesterday telling my grandmother that the payment is about to be two months behind which is a lie they constantly harrass for no reason at all telling her lies and threatening to repo the vehicle when it's not even one month behind. I really want to get rid of them I don't want anything to do with that company they need to be closed down they are fraud. Then the world is in a pandemic dealing with Covid-19 and they bothering us for nothing it's bad enough one job laid me off I'm praying that's all that happens as of now. They don't care about the customers at all they should be punished they have done a lot of fraudulent things to people had I known all this I would have never gotten anything from them.

Consumer Complaint: For the past 6 months I have been writing letters, making phone calls and disputing my payment history and balance owed which reflects negatively on my credit report. Credit Acceptance originally denied my request to apply for SCRA rights when I enlisted into the XXXX XXXX. The agent I spoke with stated that the loan came before I joined so I was not eligible. After disputing that and over paying for months I finally was able to get my account adjusted and backdated in XXXX of XXXX. I then asked for Credit acceptance to update my payment history and payoff amount on my credit report backdating to XXXX of XXXX. They corrected 2 credit bureaus but not the third.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I filed Chapter XXXX bankruptcy. As a result, I was allowed to maintain possession of my assets which included a vehicle financed through Credit Acceptance. The payment agreement for the bankruptcy was wage garnishment, but unfortunately I was laid off due to medical reasons and I could no longer maintain the payments so my bankruptcy was dismissed. Shortly thereafter, Credit Acceptance began pursuing me for payments. I explained that the vehicle was broken, it had been towed and I was not able to pay so I offered to voluntarily surrender the vehicle which Credit Acceptance declined so the vehicle remained in tow storage which accumulated more debt. As you can see Credit Acceptance failed to properly report the loan to the three bureaus at the time the loan was acquired in XXXX. It wasnt until XX/XX/XXXX that they began reporting the vehicle as 120 days late, XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX it was reported 90 days, XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX 90 days late and finally in XX/XX/XXXX it was reported as a collection account. The conflicting and erroneous information during this time frame was date of last activity was reported as XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. No date was provided to XXXX. However, the opening date was reported as XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX, but it was reported as XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX and XXXX. Considering this, I started an investigation disputing inaccurate information begin reported for the account. Neither verification nor validation documents were provided. Instead, the account was permanently removed from XXXX. It was also removed from XXXX and XXXX, but returned a short time later without any form of communication from Credit Acceptance. I continued to dispute the account through XXXX, but I still did not receive any correspondence from Credit Acceptance. Once again, the account was deleted from XXXX and XXXX, but returned this time as a charge off. It is no longer being reported to XXXX. More recently out of nowhere on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX the comments were updated from collection account affected by natural disaster Chapter XXXX bankruptcy dismissed fixed rate to collection account auto Chapter XXXX bankruptcy dismissed fixed rate. This vehicle was never affected in a natural disaster. Additionally, after being contacted by XXXX XXXX in reference to verifying the account as charged off, Credit Acceptance changed the status of the account from Closed, Charge Off, Collection to Open 120 days late XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX. Today my credit report was updated and Credit Acceptance conveniently changed the account again this time only with XXXX to show 90 days late XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX

Consumer Complaint: i disputed once with the credit bureaus in which i received a letter saying this debt was verified. I then reached out to credit acceptance corp a nd they say it is validated ... .How can this account be verified and validated when there are tons of inaccurate information being reported? I have attached a copy of the contract they sent with the obvious different spelling of the name similar to mine. i have never lived at that address either. i am attaching a copy of both letters. This account is reporting on XXXX and XXXX ( XXXX deleted ) with 2 different dates of last activity XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX this account has been reaged. And account type reading as an auto loan when in fact it should read credit sale. I have attached a copy for your review. these are clear violations and there is no possible way they conducted a proper investigation as required by law. i also contacted the credit bureaus pertaining to XXXX XXXX as they are reporting a tradeline tied to this account they also stated that this is verified. i am attaching a copy of the letters sent to them. There are multiple violations and inaccuracies reported.
