Consumer Complaint: My complaint is about convergent outsourcing. On XXXX XX/XX/2022 I placed a call to this company to settle a debt. Once I called them I explain to them what I was looking for they agreed to settle the debt. I ask if they could do a pay to delete a negative mark off of my credit. They told me no however they could settle the debt for a cheaper amount. And update the credit report that this debt was paid in full and had a zero balance. I agreed and paid {$1400.00} on a {$2600.00} debt. I was told in 5 to 7 days I would get an email letter showing that this debt was paid. That never happened. I called back six days later just to re-verify that this was going to happen they assured me that I would get this letter the next day. It never happened I ended up calling this company back maybe five or six times looking for this letter. My last call to them about the letter I refused to hang up until I got the letter in my inbox. Which was successful. Upon reading the letter the letter does not state that the balance was paid in full it just states that I made a payment which was not told to me that thats how that that letter would read. Once I checked my credit they did send an update to the credit bureau but the only update that they sent was the fact that I had pay {$1400.00} and that I still owe the balance of {$1100.00}. This company completely misrepresented what they were going to do for me just to get my money. I called back today which is XX/XX/2022 to inquire about getting this rectified. I was hung up on twice and once I called back I escalated the call all the way up to the manager. The manager got on the phone and try to get me to pay {$1100.00} In order to get the letter to state what I needed. He also went in to explain the different services that they offer when making a payment. And I explain to him that no one ever mentioned anything like what he was mentioning to me on this call. I told him that the clerk that took my payment misrepresented what they were going to do for me. I have all of these calls recorded and willing to share them for proof. If someone can contact me I would love to explain in detail over the phone. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Several times this week, I started receiving a call from an unknown number. I called the number and was told that it was in reference to a personal matter. I asked for the company name and was informed it was a company by the name of Convergent. While speaking with the representative, I looked up the information on the website. It was at this point that I realized that I have spoken with them several times over the last 2 years, inquiring about several different people ... .none of whom I knew. When I asked how they received my number, they hung up the telephone or said hold on and never would return to the telephone. After calling several times, I was told that they were in error and that my telephone number was taken out of their system. As of this week, the calls have resumed. When I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor, I was again placed on hold. When I hung up and called back, there was a message stating that they were closed. This same company continues to contact me with various names and from several different telephone numbers. I am once again blocking this telephone number, but it's just a matter of time, before they start again, from another number. Convergent clearly needs to be investigated and stopped. The random calls to unknown individuals, is absolutely ridiculous. They have given at least 4 different names over the last 2 years.

Consumer Complaint: When we got the telephone service through XXXX XXXXXXXX we were told we had service where we lived. Phones only worked on certain roads did not work at house. Was told that a tower was going up after complaints so we would keep. No tower was installed and still phones not working. Was told to bring phones back which we did and the person that took phones told us that we should have never been told that the service would be ok. I was told that the balance would be taken off since we were told a lie regarding service and connection. I have not spoken to anyone since XXXX when phones returned and told would take care of balance. Now they are saying updated XXXX which is wrong.
