Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/XXXX the account with the creditor I.C. XXXX XXXX was deleted off of my credit report. On XX/XX/XXXX I received mail from a creditor Convergent/XXXX stating this is an attempt to collect a debt. Thing is what debt do I owe them? I never signed any agreement with Convergent/XXXX . I then sent them a Validation of Debt and a Cease and Desist letter certified and requires a confirmation signature which I yet to receive or any documentation that validates that I owe them anything. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a email alert that there's been a change to my XXXX credit report. I log in and see my score had decrease and a Collection account has been added to my report. First by law XXXX was suppose to inform me that something was about to go on my credit in written form. Never received that. Second Convergent/ XXXX has yet to validate this debt but XXXX allow them to place a Collection account on my credit reporting report. XXXX failed to follow the law as a Consumer I have rights 15 U.S.C 1681i ( b ) ( i ). Because they failed to do this I request that this account be deleted back off my credit report and update my file. This has caused me a great amount stress because I am working really hard to stay the course and these credit bureau to feel like they have the right to add something on your report without Validation is crazy and unprofessional because they are aware of the laws and the rights as consumer and I have already dealt with this creditor and the account was removed.

Consumer Complaint: I was under a special promotion with XXXX XXXX XXXX that was going to end XXXX qtr 2021. I contacted XXXX about obtaining another promotion and was offered a promotion by their representative. When next months bill came, they charged me full price of over {$100.00} for the month. I told them I was currently only paying {$67.00} total now and that I was offered a reduced rate by their agent and they should honor the rate. I told them was not willing to pay more and they could cancel the service if they were not going to honor the rate. They told me XXXX would not honor the rate quoted but they would give me a gift catd and some other rate. I again told them no, I didnt want it. I contacted the office of the president to complain about the tactics being used. The office looked into it and said the agent made a mistake, but they would give me a gift card. I told them no, not interested. Then they sent me a bill saying my service was never disconnected and I over over {$100.00} per month, thus the {$300.00} collection. I told them ai cancelled months ago and if I didnt wantXXXXto pay {$67.00} and a gift card, what in the name would make them think I instead would pay over {$100.00}. XXXX has bad customer service and they are wanting me to pay for their agents mistakes. I do not owe a XXXX thing to XXXX and since they have a gift card they kept trying to give me, tell them to us that to pay for the fact that no one disconnected service after I told them too!

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am writing today because on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a derogatory mark on my credit report from Convergent Outsourcing. In over 10+ years of having credit, I have not ever had such a mark placed on my account as I work very hard to pay all of my bills on time as I know how important my credit is. After investigation of this company, I believe this may be linked to a previous account that I had with XXXX, which was cancelled and fully paid for after their most recent data breach in XXXX. However, I dont know for sure if this is as a result of the cancellation and what this is for as I was never contacted at all about this. I am making this assumption as I found hundreds of horror stories online associated with this company and their scam collection attempts of previous XXXX customers. I never was allowed the 30 days to contest this debt and ask for proof of who and why this charge was issued against me, because I was never notified of this debt by either Convergent nor XXXX. This is illegal and predatory. My credit is now severely damaged as a result of this. I will be sending a verification letter request, disputing with the credit agencies, and getting a lawyer if needed. I work so very hard and i will not sit idly by while my financial future ruined. Please assist me with getting this resolved. This is, by law, criminal and this particular agency appears to be known for scamming people. I can not address a supposed debt that I didnt know existed in the first place. And I would have addressed this for sure. My record of always making my payments and on time speaks for itself. I do not play around when it comes to my credit score. This is my future at risk.
