Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022. I went directly to XXXX and paid them {$320.00}. XXXX took the payment and gave me a receipt showing account paid in full ( see attached receipt ) I contacted Convergent Outsourcing on XX/XX/2022 advising them that XXXX accepted the full payment and to cease reporting on my credit report as I have never had an account with Convergent Outsourcing. Today XX/XX/2022 Convergent has reported on my XXXX credit that the collection has been paid. Which I have never sent them any money, so how can they be reporting this erroneous information?

Consumer Complaint: I received a document that appears to be a bill. It is from a company called Convergent. They are collecting {$110.00} on behalf of XXXX. I have never had such account for any services or purchases. The first time I called Covergent ( the debt collector ), they refused to give me information unless I disclosed my social security number, which I did not so they hang up on me. The second time I called, they gave me a bunch of addresses where they say I have lived before but none of them were mine. They asked for my phone number in case I got " disconnected '' from the call, and also asked for my SS # again. I did not give the information and told them I would be reporting this incident.

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing Inc is fraudulently and wrongfully attempting to extort money from me for a make believe debt that I do not owe to a company XXXX XXXX XXXX AKA The XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Alabama that I have never done business with ever. I live in XXXX XXXX. I have never been to XXXX Alabama. This is a joke and an illegal attempt to get me to pay something I do not owe or have ever done business with these companies. This collection agency is falsely claiming that I created an account and owe {$1000.00} that is a false obligation. The reason the credit reporting bureaus have placed me in a credit freeze for XXXX years is because of ID Theft. Also, recently my XXXX XXXX XXXX card number was stolen someone attempted to use it but the charges were rejected. This is another case about collection agencies abusing credit systems and collecting to force consumers hands, like me, to pay regardless of whether or not they are truly at fault. I will never in a XXXX years pay this as I am not responsible and disputing this debt.
