Consumer Complaint: Was contacted by a collection company for a debt we have no idea of. Told them we did not know who or what & they should stop harassing us. They then said that we requested a packet of information which we had only instructed them to stop contacting us and harassing us. They are still doing it and we have no idea who they said we owed ( never heard of them ) but we have no idea who it is or anything regarding it - no knowledge - willful or otherwise. Please have them stop harassing us.

I only know XXXX, and I paid XXXX directly so there should NOT be any collections showed on my credit report for this XXXX matter and definitely NOT Convergent Outsourcing.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX I applied for a Mortgage to purchase a new home. Upon receiving a copy of my Credit Report, I noticed that I was being listed in Collections from a company named Convergent Outsourcing, from a XXXX account. I contacted Convergent Outsourcing and informed them that I had NO KNOWLEDGE of this outstanding debt with XXXX or Convergent Outsourcing. For I had never opened an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX I sent Convergent Outsourcing a DEBT VALIDATION REQUEST via Certified Mail. This Request pursuant to The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. 1692g. Stating that I am disputing this claim and Validation is required. This request allows a company 30 days to respond. They have not responded to date. Forty Seven ( 47 ) days later ( See Enclosed ) Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have done everything humanly possible to get this company to remove this Fraudulent Account from my credit file. I have called them numerous time. and getting through is a task within itself. Minimum wait 45/50 minutes. ( See Enclosed Screenshots ) I have filed a complaint with Identity Theft.Gov. I have Filed A Police Report ( See Enclosed ) This Fraudulent account on my credit file has caused me nothing but grief. I am being penalized for a debt that I did not incur.
