Consumer Complaint: One again, Convergence is hounding and harassing me for a matter that should have been settled already. They previously took off this false debt and are now putting it back on my credit report for the purpose of damaging my sense of self and harming my financial prospects. I did not realize it at the time, but this company has also been calling me daily. I did not realize that since my phone filtered those calls as spam, which I believe is indicative of the abusive tactics utilized.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from my credit monitoring service. It informed me that my credit score had dropped a tremendous amount of points. I logged on and found that CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING had illegally posted an alleged collection account to my credit profile. Prior to the email, I have never heard of nor had an account with this company. My report shows that it is an open account and was opened on XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$1400.00}. I had no knowledge of this company nor this alleged debt. I have never had any dealings with this company. By federal law, a debt collector is supposed to make contact with an alleged debtor and give them 30 days to validate or dispute. I never receive a letter in the mail that gave me 30 days to validate or dispute this account. I never received a letter stating that I have an alleged debt with this company and owe a balance on that account. Again, I have absolutely no knowledge of this account with them. I understand that, under the FDCPA guidelines for collection agencies, they have to provide ( 1 ) proof that they are the original holder of this debt and can legally hold me responsible for paying this debt and ( 2 ) contractual proof of obligation or an assignment SIGNED from an officer from the original creditors corporation that I am supposed to pay them. 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) grants me the right to request validation of this alleged debt they say I owe. I did not receive notice of right to dispute nor did I receive enough information to verify that the alleged debt belonged to me. If I would have gotten anything in the mail or phone call from this company before they illegally reported to my credit report, I would have respectfully requested evidence that I am the person they are asking to pay this debt and a contractual obligation that legally binds me to pay them this debt. Upon them receiving my validation letter, they would have to legally cease from collection calls, letters, and efforts and delete the account from my credit files until they can validate this debt. But again, I never received such a letter about this account or phone call ever in the mail. They have illegally posted and reported to my credit file without adhering to the FDCPA laws. Im not sure if this company is a scam, but I know that this company has broken FCRA and FDCPA laws by reporting an alleged account to my credit report without informing me through mail or phone and I did not receive notice of right to dispute nor did I receive enough information to verify that the alleged debt belonged to me. My credit score has dropped tremendously in the middle of making a major purchase. Please help me get his account removed immediately. I'm preparing to sue under the FCRA and FDCPA because of the damages to my credit and opportunity costs with making this major purchase and business ventures that have to be delayed until this illegal account is removed. Upon the phone call I wanted to inform him and his supervisor that it is illegal to contact a consumer without my reaching out first according to 15 USC 1692c. I waited to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for awhile I was told by XXXX that I would receive a call back by XXXX. I never received a call back to address the issue. I called once more on XX/XX/2022, I was able to finally speak with a supervisor named XXXX but with phone issues, I was unable to hear her or vice versa. I called back and was unable to get through.

Consumer Complaint: I left XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and transferred all XXXX phone to XXXX XXXX and on the next month I reserved a bill from XXXX for XXXX of the phones I went to XXXX to get it fixed and they said it was fixed and that should have not happen because I had not finished the month with them and they owed me XXXX for that month. Next month I get a bill again for the phone line again saying I owe them. Went to XXXX again and was told that it was all set. Still no check for the XXXX. Next month got a letter from a collection agency for the bill from XXXX. Went back to XXXX and after 2 day wait they said sorry can't help deal with the collection company. Still no check for my XXXX for not finishing the month XXXX that I paid for. Any help would be great.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Convergent Outsourcing contact me regarding a XXXX XXXX account with an outstanding balance of {$1400.00} I told them is not my account. They told me to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX Department and file a claim. I file an identity theft report with my local authorities ( XXXX Police Department ) they also direct me to freeze my credit and file a report with federal trade commission. I file a claim with XXXX XXXX summit all my documents required. They have not reach out to me. I call the fraud department and they direct to talk with the collection agency ( Convergent ) they report this to all the credit agencies. My credit has been damaged significantly. I open a dispute with the credit agencies and XXXX is refusing to erase this out of my credit. I am following everything by the law and dont understand why XXXX XXXX not helping went this was not my account and never order nothing from this company.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 I made a settlement payment to XXXX in the amount of {$710.00} to settle the outstanding balance for my XXXX XXXX account. On XX/XX/2022, I uncovered information indicating XXXX may have billed me in error. Specifically, XXXX may have billed my account while and after a different account was active at the service address associated with my XXXX account. On the XXXX I contacted XXXX to resolve this issue but XXXX refused to furnish additional information that would confirm or deny whether I was billed in error. Also on XX/XX/XXXX, I initiated a dispute via XXXX XXXX regarding the {$710.00} payment made XX/XX/XXXX. I provided to XXXX XXXX the evidence that I may have been billed in error, and disputed the payment on the grounds that XXXX had not been able to resolve my concerns. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX acknowledged receipt of the dispute and, in accordance with their dispute procedures, temporarily returned the {$710.00} payment while they awaited a response to the dispute from XXXX. As of this writing, XXXX has not responded to the dispute initiated via XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX reported my account to the XXXX and XXXX credit bureaus as " in collections, '' and on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX engaged debt collector Convergent Outsourcing , Inc. to attempt to collect the purported debt. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Also I have attached the letter sent out. According to the FCRA the term Investigate consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. They stated my accounts were verified but how is that possible if they did not do a proper investigation according to the law. Also every piece of information on these accounts are still not reporting 100 % accurate. And according to the FCRA 15 USC 1681 everything has to be 100 % accurate. I have the credit reports showing the inaccuracies.
