Consumer Complaint: Over 2 months ago I settled a collections account with XXXX. And it is not being showed as settled. On my credit report it shows only half paid and a late payment, when this account was settled and paid off back in XXXX. I've spoken with Convergent Outsourcing several times, they say they will fix it but never do. Please help just get this debt off my credit report

Consumer Complaint: Convergent Outsourcing placed a false collections account on my credit report stating that I owe a balance for a company for which I have never had any contract or account with. I verified this with the creditor ( XXXX ) and it is false/fraudulent. I have never had an account with XXXX nor have any agreements with this company. I tried to reach out to Convergent Outsourcing on several occasions and have been unsuccessful. This false/fraudulent report is hurting my personal credit and request that it be removed immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Ive never had a contract with Convergent Outsourcing, a debt collector, for any debt. I have been asking this company since XX/XX/2023 to provide proof from the original creditor that this debt collector owns this debt and has the legal authority to collect it or delete this account from my credit reports. I have not agreed with any results of their investigation, and they have done nothing to verify. I have been asking Convergent Outsourcing to mail me the proof of their investigation and proof that they, as a debt collector, has a legal right to collect for a debt, or delete this account from my credit profiles. Furthermore, the address noted for this debt is a fraudulent address that is not verifiable anywhere in the city or state where I reside in Texas.

Consumer Complaint: I have sent the following letter to the company. Of course before that I tried several times to remedy the issue. I am requesting that the following account be removed immediately from my credit report. Description : Fraudulently establishment of this account without my permission or authorization. I have tried to work with your collection agency requesting removal of this account but you haven't removed it yet. Your company is not approved to conduct business in the state of CA as of this day. It's pending approval. If I am unsuccessful with this attempt having this frigolus account removed from both reporting agencies, I will be forced to file a suit in federal court naming the credit reporting agency and the acceptor of this letter as defendants. If No action is taken from your company as an extra measurement for my protection of sensitive information as well as the removal of this account from both Reporting Agencies then the following agencies will be formally informed so they can assist and resolve this matter in order to protect my rights as a consumer.

I told her that I didn't understand because I have current service. She verified the service address. Again I told her I didnt understand. She gave me an amount of {$680.00} that was due, and an account number # XXXX, and told me to call to speak to a live agent at XXXX to resolve the issue. She also provided a call back number of XXXX. I called XXXX who confirmed that I do not have an outstanding balance. This was an old account number I had at XXXX and the XXXX rep at XXXX again confirmed that there is no outstanding balance on that account number.

The bill you provided is not proof that you ( Convergent ) owe this debt and therefore no evidence that you have any rights to collect this debt. Youre not license in Florida to collect a debt. Your letter does not have a statement indicating that the consumer ( me ) has the right to dispute the debt within 30 days. You have not provided with information on how to dispute the debt.
