Consumer Complaint: Towards the end of 2020, I notified Coinbase via email that my account had been compromised. I knew this because I tried to login and all of a sudden my password didn't work and I couldn't access my account anymore. I had my cryptocurrency in their " vault '' feature which meant the assets were supposed to be frozen for a period of several days from the time that a transfer request was made via my account. Coinbase eventually responded several days later and said that they were looking into my case further and had assigned an expert to investigate. By this point, I realized who had compromised my account, it was my former roommate and reported him to the police and FBI to no avail. Apparently the value of the account at the time it was compromised ( {$80000.00} to {$90000.00} ) was not enough to warrant an FBI IC3 team investigation. I then realized that my phone, email and other electronic devices were also compromised and had to get all new devices and phone numbers/emails. I have since tried to reach out to Coinbase via phone, email, regular mail, etc. and have never heard anything back from them. I even consulted with an attorney that specializes in arbitration and after reviewing their user agreement, he advised me to make a formal complaint directly to Coinbase which I did XXXX year ago and then again 6 months ago and never heard back even though in their own user agreement it stipulated that they would respond to formal complaints within 30 days.

Consumer Complaint: My father ( 94 years ) created a power of attorney with his lawyer. We have been trying to register the power of attorney ( POA ) with Coinbase for months in order to provide oversight to his account. However, Coinbase has neither registered the power of attorney nor given us access. I have email correspondence dating from XX/XX/2022 and my sister ( co-POA ) has been corresponding with them via XXXX since XX/XX/2022. Typically, Coinbase will acknowledge that they have our corredpondance. I have a case number from XXXX with Coinbase ( XXXX ) and the receipt for the uploaded POA is submission ID # XXXX. As well, my sister sent them a notarized copy as well in XXXX. To date, we have not been able to resolve this with Coinbase. Please help!!! I am able to provide email copies and copies of twitter strings if required. Please advise.

Consumer Complaint: An individual impersonating an individual on a dating app got access to my virtual wallet ID and authorized the wire transfer of more than {$17000.00} dollars to an online virtual wallet that was cloaked and portrayed to be a DeFi wallet but was not. Coinbase has said they can not do anything about it. I would think any account that is reported to have done this should be able to be frozen at the very least. This guy tried to extract {$1000.00} from my coinbase after I wired the funds to my bank and Coinbase responded by telling me I owed the money back!!! I know banks have the ability to recall funds and this has to be an oversight on their part.

Consumer Complaint: Case XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX I've been using a VPN for over a year and recently received an email to re-verify my identity from Coinbase. That's when the problems started happening when I couldn't get access again. In a recent case, the number was finally told my VPN was not allowing Coinbase to verify my identity correctly. And the last time I spoke to a customer support representative informed me that the authenticator would be reset so that I may use my smartphone texting to verify and authenticate. My authenticator app, which I used before I reset my smartphone, was cleared, so it can't be used during recovery. Please investigate the paper trail of emails received not to allow me access to my account.

Consumer Complaint: I have a cryptocurrency account with Coinbase XXXX and Coinbase. I received several text messages claiming to be from Coinbase stating that someone has changed my password so I tried to log into my account at Coinbase XXXX but it kept stating wrong password and when I tried to reset my password it was sending a link to the email associated with the account but which I NO longer have access to, because I changed my email to new one and I no longer can access that email associated with the Coinbase cryptocurrency account. So I called the customer support at Coinbase and the representative refused to help me in any way to retrieve my account and refused to help me access my account again. When I called I locked the account so nobody can access my account until I resolve the issue of wrong password. Now I am locked out of my account and since I dont have access to my email associated with this XXXX account then I can not access no of Coinbase XXXX and Coinbase accounts and they refused to update my email to the new one. So if I dont have access to my email account then I lose all my money????? This is FRAUD by Coinbase XXXX Coinbase is scamming me by not letting me access my account and stealing my money. This company Coinbase needs to be investigated because they are committing fraud and scamming me out of my money. I want to update my email to the new one and have access to my accounts by resetting my password at Coinbase XXXX and Coinbase. I want Coinbase XXXX to contact me immediately and update my email and help me log back into my accounts at Coinbase XXXX and Coinbase The email that is associated with the accounts which I do NOT have access to anymore is XXXX And my new email address now is XXXX I can provide Coinbase XXXX with any identity verification so I can access my accounts again but it is illegal for Coinbase to say I lost my account if I dont have access to the email associated with it. This is fraud

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 In the past, i had to file a complaint against Coinbase # XXXX for restricting me from trading ( investing ) which is against the law. In the past, Coinbase website would not accept my Nevada driver 's license nor my banking information from XXXX until i filed a complaint. Since then, i have been trading on Coinbase. A few days ago, i wanted to trade once again but i was not able to because Coinbase is requesting ID and bank verification once again when there have not been any changes. Coinbase website would not accept my Nevada ID once again. Now, i was informed that the financial regulation state ; all investors must prove identity and banking information at the time of opening and account. Federal law does NOT state that financial companies can re-verify or be allowed to harass investors periodically otherwise other companies such as XXXX, XXXX and XXXX would do the same thing. I tried to contact Coinbase, but investors are not able to speak to anyone. I tried to email Coinbase at XXXX XXXX XXXX and the computer or website reflected Coinbase does not accept emails anymore. As you can see, investors do not have a good way, a reliable way to contact Coinbase when investors have an issue. I request that Coinbase fix my account immediately so i can trade without any further harassment or restrictions from trading on Coinbase now or in the future. I request that Coinbase fixes their website and allow investors to email and call customer support at Coinbase to resolve issues. I request that federal agencies investigate this matter for any wrongdoing and fine this company if there has been any violations! Furthermore, i exercise my rights to file out complaints against Coinbase with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
