Consumer Complaint: This is a complaint against the company Coinbase. On XX/XX/2022 I had {$200000.00} removed from my Coinbase wallet without permission. Once I tracked down where the money had been moved to, I was made to believe that the money was being used to mortgage mine and the profits would be available to me on XX/XX/XXXX. I watched as my profit grew and on the XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to remove my profits, another $ XXXX. I was told I needed to add another $ XXXX in order to be able to withdraw not only the profits but the amount that had been stolen initially. I have given them three days to return the money and have seen no progress. I have screenshots to document the entire process including the address that initiated the entire process of stealing my money. Coinbase allowed my money to be taken by the hackers without me ever given permission. I hired a company to track down where the money had gone and they tracked it through to the XXXX XXXX. The institution that was supposed to protect my money decided to earn money from their valuable consumer loosing it. I wasn't even given the chance to refuse this action.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to file a complaint against Coinbase. I was hacked and out approximately {$30000.00}. They are stating there is no recourse. Funds were removed from my account unauthorized. I reported the fraud at the end of XXXX XXXX. I followed their procedures and locked the account. I was assured the transactions would not go through. My account was locked and took over a month to regain access and when I finally regained access the funds from my account were gone. Several phone calls and cases were opened with Coinbase. Customer Support would not help, would not provide me info to file a formal complaint and would not answer questions in regards to who they are regulated by. I initially opened a case with the OCC who referred me to the CFPB. I also opened a case with XXXX but have not heard anything in return. Additonally multiple phone calls to coinbase and they are stating that none of my funds are insured because I did not have a premium account. I was not aware of a premium option that you needed to pay for and would have never invested any funds if the funds were not secure. This was misleading and deceiving and there is no one that it can be escalated. I have called numerous times to be cut off and never called back.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX someone got my Coinbase account information and made many transactions overnight. I saw this the following morning and locked the account. Coinbase acknowledged the fraudulent activity. i '' ve had to change many email addresses and my cell #. coinbase will not give me access to my account. because my cell # has changed, and I cant do the 2 step identification process. when I locked the account my balance was much higher than what it should have been, due to the hacker moving money in and out. i've contacted Coinbase several times, and all that happens is a circle of emails that produce no result. They wont tell me what my balance is or any other info. It's next to impossible to deal with these people .... they either hang up on me, or respond with a person that speaks XXXX XXXX XXXX. ..half the time I cant understand them, they get disgusted with me and hang up. I need someone to get involved, as I'm not getting anywhere on my own and these people are to stubborn to deal with.

Consumer Complaint: I have experienced problems with Coinbase , Inc . The problem I am experiencing is that the net invested amount ( showing on the Coinbase website and the Coinbase application ) is not matching the amount that I have invested according to my transaction report ( from Coinbase ) and the transaction history from my personal bank. This difference is not explained by any fluctuations in the asset value, since the net invested amount is supposed to show how much money I have invested on the Coinbase platform, regardless of the fluctuations in any asset. According to the transaction report, I have invested XXXX USD in different assets on Coinbase ( this is the amount invested after all fees ), while the net invested amount on the website and the app has shown lower amounts than this. The amount that has been shown as the net invested amount ( on the Coinbase website and app ) has varied from XXXX USD up to 1952 USD. This was the case when I first filed the complaint on XXXX. However, it is no longer possible for me to view the net invested amount. This according to the support team is due to my location being XXXX, but since I have been located in XXXX ever since I set the account up with Coinbase, this explanation is not sufficient. I have had email contact with the Coinbase support team ever since XXXX. I have had to open new cases twice ( but with the same topic ) due to them being closed even though my issue has not been resolved. I have had to consistently reach out after waiting 10-14 days for a response. The answers I have gotten have mainly consisted of troubleshooting measures that I have completed multiple times without any success, and then not receiving any answers dedicated to answering my very serious inquiry of fund imbalance on my Coinbase account. In sum, my problem is that I have less funds in my Coinbase account than what the transaction report ( from Coinbase ) and the transaction history from my personal bank are showing. This problem has been dealt with very poorly by the Coinbase support team as I have had to wait long periods for responses ( sometimes even having to reach out myself ) and the few answers I have gotten have been insufficient in dealing with my specific problem.

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to retrieve my 1099 Tax Forms from Coinbase however their systems refuse to allow me access to the forms. Their systems are demanding I donate the last of my crypto holdings however there seems to be no other way to access the required tax forms. I attempted to go through their live chat and their phone support however there seems to be no resolution available from these agents other than generic canned responses.

Consumer Complaint: I was a user of coinbase pro. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email saying coinbase pro was closing and my assets would be transferred to coinbase. The email said I would enjoy the " same low volume-based fees as Coinbase Pro. '' Today XX/XX/XXXX I made two transactions on coinbase. I converted {$16000.00} of XXXX into XXXX and {$13000.00} of XXXX into XXXX. For these transactions, I was charged a 2.6 % fee instead of the usual 0.6 % fee, roughly an extra {$600.00} in fees. I called the company to complain. They said the cheaper fees are available not on their main website, but after clicking through a few pages to the " advanced retail trader '' section, which is not what you see when you go to coinbase and click on trade. The email did not state this anywhere. The company refused to refund the extra fees or cancel the transactions. I asked to speak with a XXXX or for a XXXX to call me back. They refused to escalate me on the phone and instead hung up on me.
