Consumer Complaint: i sent a FINAL payment on a loan from Coinbase, paying them back on their own website.It just so happens that when i clicked on the make a payment key, nothing happened for like 2 minutes, and i thought maybe i didn't click hard enough on the keyboard, but it turns out i did, and a payment for U {$620.00} went trough, instead of my click take me to the next step forward, it took another payment?! Imagine if i had clicked a few times? It is not acceptable for a site of that financial magnitude to have that happen on their site, whoever designed that ... .WHEN YOU CLICK MAKE A PAYMENT IT SHOULD NOT ALLOWED ANYTHING ELSE HAPPEN, EVEN IF YOU CLICK ON IT AGAIN, ONE CLICK, ONE ACTION, NOT 2/3 CLICKS 2/3 PAYMENT?! XXXX?! so because i canceled a payment with the bank, after not hearing at all from their non existent customer service depot ( there is no phone number or a human " customer service '' representatives, for a XXXX XXXX dollar company?! ) So Coinbase decided that they should sell some of my assets, for a THIRD payment, on something that had been paid off weeks prior. and STILL AFTER 6 BUSSINESS DAYS OF THE PAYMENT ARBITRARILY MADE BY THEM SELLING MY ASSETS, on top of the 2 payments i made, I STILL HAVE NO ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT, AS T HAS A " PENDING '' STATUS, NOT SURE WHY, SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN PAID 3 TIMES ALREADY, AND IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS OF THE INITIAL XXXX ....?! WHY THERE IS NO REGULATION ON THAT COMPANY THAT JUST WENT PUBLIC WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO SPEAK OF? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX I was sent a phishing scam that allowed access to my coinbase account. Although I acted quickly to disable my account, approximately {$170000.00} worth of digital currency was converted to XXXX and sent to a wallet without any in house measures by coinbase to stop or cease the transaction. I tried calling them, filed a complaint, but they have no live agents, or automated methods to help me, and have not contacted me in anyway.

Consumer Complaint: on Sunday XX/XX/2021 i used my mobile phone to check my Coin base crypto currency account and it showed me a balance of XXXX Cent previously on the same dat XX/XX/2021 my account balance was XXXX i did not sell any of my currencies because i was holding them for long term investments. After contacting coin base i was informed that i needed to perform a 2 step verification process in which i log in and put a 6 digit code i receive from XXXX in order to upload my photo identification front and back then i would have to use my web camera on my computer to take a selfie well it lets me upload the front and back of my drivers license but when try to take the selfie with my web camera the page disappear and another page appear stating that my identity can not be verified although i have uploaded my drivers license front and back i only have one last step to complete but can not due to the web camera issue. previously when i signed up for the account and was approved i used my mobile phone but coin base does not allow you to go thru that process. it is very hurtful to know you invested to make money and not know what happen to that investment. i think Coin Base is using the money as personal investments because when i purchased $ XXXX it was valued at {$3100.00} and in 1 week its value is over {$4000.00}

Consumer Complaint: My account was hacked from coinbase 's end, and they were able to get into all of my information, including my emails. Drain my bank of {$18000.00} and purchase etherium. Every confirmation email was deleted before my eyes!! I would open it, and it would vanish. They tried to send it to another account, but I was able to lock it before they could. I was also successful in stopping the payment from my bank so I wouldn't be out that money and unable to pay my mortgage. I had taken the extra security steps THEY recommended, and it wasn't enough. They allowed the cryptocurrency the hackers purchased to be sent to another account before the money it even left my bank account and the purchase was finalized and now they are claiming they need to get the money back from me. They have my account locked, and I can not get in to see what's going on. Also the cryptocurrency that I DID buy was just unaccounted for. It shows the transaction from when I purchased it, but my wallet for that currency is empty. I looked into this and it looks like they were breached by XXXX, this happened to MULTIPLE people on the exact date ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and they did the same thing to them. They did a major update afterwards and several people are STILL locked out. Even accounts with third party authentication security were hacked. They sent me an email claiming no responsibility ... and then sent another saying they would look into it, and are now completely unresponsive. They have just left me locked out of my account with no information.

Consumer Complaint: Several years ago I purchase a single bitcoin for approximately {$450.00}. Now it is worth roughly {$58000.00}. My wife and I are ready to purchase a new home and wanted to use this money for the downpayment. I logged in to my Coinbase account, and when I try to sell or transfer the funds to my normal bank, I'm given the message, " Account Restricted. You are currently unable to buy and sell crypto on Coinbase. Please visit https : //support.coinbase.com for assistance. '' However there are 2 problems here. First, if you follow that URL, there is no information on remedying the situation. Second, there is no phone number or way to contact a human being to fix the situation. I filed several support requests using their contact form, and thus far nothing has happened. If you look into this situation there hundreds, possibly thousands of complaints just like this. Because of their slow response, my account value has already dropped by several thousand dollars in just 1 day. Since I can not access my funds, I will most likely lose the house we wanted to buy. Therefore this situation is costing me more than the lost value of the account, but potentially tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost real-estate opportunity. This is honestly the worst customer service situation I've ever been involved with. If a brokerage firm refused to have a phone number and would not allow you to sell off a stock to retain your profits, the stock exchange and perhaps the US Government would be involved immediately. I need help and I need it ASAP. Thank you, XXXX XXXX
