All email from their support have been unless and no one has contacted me about recovering my account or with any expectations on where my money went. I am missing hundreds of not thousands of dollars and no one will return an email. I provided transaction ID # to coinbase from my banks information and yet it's been over six months and I still have not received any emails telling me how to recover my account.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, on XX/XX/22 I made a crypto currency transaction to a Coinbase merchant and the Coinbase merchant has turned out to be a fraudulent entity. I have submitted a ticket with Coinbase, attempted to call them and reached out to them on XXXX and XXXX and have receive no response from them at all indicating they are looking into the issue or have any intention or investigating the matter. The fraudulent company that received the payment is XXXX : XXXX and they are unreachable as well since the payment to them. The transaction was for XXXX Ethereum which at the time was about {$20000.00} in cryptocurrency. I am seeking Coinbase to reimburse me for the amount of Cryptocurrency lost due to the fact that the fraudulent website was a Coinbase merchant and had they not been an authorized Coinbase merchant. There has to be responsibility on Coinbase for authorizing the fraudulent website to become a Coinbase merchant and further allowing the illusion of a legitimate website/organization. The official manufacturer website for the product I thought I was buying has the fraudulent website listed as know scam on their website which I found after the attempt purchase. XXXX : XXXX ( red text section near the bottom has XXXX XXXX XXXX listed as a scam ) The Coinbase reference number is below as well as the transaction details Coinbase Commerce Reference # XXXX The XXXX Ethereum is a very large amount of money for myself and I desperately need to recover the funds, any assistant would be appreciated as Coinbase has been unreachable to this point. Please let me know if there are any questions or if anything else is needed from my end.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Mdm, I set up a crypto currency digital wallet with Coinbase on XX/XX/2021. Bought some crypto coins and transfer into the wallet. On XX/XX/2021, i realised that most of the coins were missing from the wallet and i tried to log out and log in again using the 12 words recovery seed. The coins remains missing and the original wallet also went missing and was changed to another public address. I contacted Coinbase since then, they are unable to resolve this issue or recover my coins. I believe that there is a Coinbase system glitch that results in my missing wallet and ask for compensation in terms of number of coins that were in my wallet before they went missing.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2020 I realized that someone had stolen my identity and used Coinbase to steal {$15000.00} from my bank account. I tried reaching out to coinbase to have the money returned, but their answer was simply that the same IP address was used and that they were not responsible for the issue. I have sent paperwork proving I had identity theft situation and I have tried to resolve the issue with my bank as well. Coinbase is aware that fraud takes place on their platform and are more than OK letting crime take place on their network. I though, am not ok with this and want my money returned to me. Coinbase needs to be held accountable for what happens on their platform.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX # XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - between XXXX a series of unauthorized withdrawals were made from my Coinbase Pro account. The transactions were labeled withdrawal with no additional information. These transactions were executed in rapid succession, and in nearly equal amounts for a total withdrawal amount of {$30.00}, XXXX leaving a remaining {$21000.00} in the account. I did not initiate any of these transactions. I noticed this activity at XXXX the same night and immediately contacted Coinbase thinking there had been some kind of hack on my account. I Contacted them at support@coinbase.com, their online complaint form and their ( unattended ) customer support line asking for an investigation and immediate security hold to be placed on my account. As I was changing all of my computer passwords that same night and implementing other security measures I logged into my regular Coinbase account, which is an unused account and separate from Coinbase Pro, and saw the missing assets had been transferred into this account through these unauthorized transfers. The assets were no longer missing, but again, I did not make these transfers. This appears not to have been an account hack, but some kind of internal system error. At this time I transferred my holdings back from the Coinbase Account into my Coinbase Pro account and sent a follow up email to Coinbase to let them know the status that my holdings had been found. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX Coinbase Support sent an email recommending security procedures and to reply back once I followed the security procedures in order to have access restored. On XX/XX/21 at XXXX I sent a response to the Coinbase Customer Support email letting them know this activity didnt seem to be a hack attack, but some kind of internal glitch or error, that I had completed the security procedures and requested to restore access. I have since sent several more emails requesting my access to be restored and most recently an email requesting the assets in my account and several emails demanding my assets to be released from the platform and back into my custody and control so I can transfer them off this platform. A few computer generated form responses were sent back stating that I would hear from someone within 5 days. I did not hear from anyone within this specified time. At this time, XX/XX/XXXX, 8 days have passed since the incident with no indication from Coinbase if or when my account access will be restored. At the time of my account freeze there were outstanding orders in process that I now have had no control over. I have not been able to modify any positions or holdings in response to volatile market conditions. The value of my account has been harmed by this extended freeze. These timeframes to respond is grossly unacceptable. There is no legal basis to withhold access to my assets. These markets are wildly unstable and I need to be able to remove my assets from their platform or change my holdings based on the market conditions. A XXXX based publicly traded company should not be permitted to conduct business this way. Coinbase should be responsible for any losses in value from the time I requested access to my account. The link below describes the Coinbase policy on freezing accounts and their internal standard to freeze an account. My situation does not rise to their own internal standard for a complete lock out. They also refer to this as rare, but when I look online I see countless other people complaining of similar lock outs. This is beyond outrageous. I am being harmed by this extended account freeze and complete lack of communication. https : //help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/other/does-coinbase-freeze-accounts I have screenshots of my account before the transfer, showing the transfers and after the transfer before my account was locked.

Consumer Complaint: I tried to transfer XXXX $ XXXX from my XXXX wallet to my XXXX wallet. In order to send $ XXXX, you must enter a valid $ XXXX crypto address and a valid $ XXXX Memo ID. Unless you successfully enter both of these numbers, and XXXX validates both of them, then XXXX will not allow the transaction to go through. As in, the Withdrawal Button will not turn blue and allow you to click on it until you first enter both of these numbers and receive messages in green stating the numbers are valid. However, the transaction was somehow processed with a missing memo, thereby never made it to my XXXX wallet. I spoke with XXXX multiple times, & they advised me there's nothing they could do on their end, at least not for 30 days. I have tried contacting XXXX for over 2 weeks now and have not received a single response!!! This transaction is worth over {$2000.00} and is too much for me to lose access to. I can not believe XXXX won't even return a single message when they are supposed to be a trusted, publicly traded company!

Consumer Complaint: On Friday XX/XX/2021 I transferred money from my wallet on the XXXXXXXX app ( $ XXXX fees {$340.00} or {$390.00} ) to my XXXX wallet on Coinbase app on my XXXX. The transaction is showing as successful in the blockchain. My money is not showing up in my XXXX wallet on Coinbase. I contacted both companies. XXXX said it was showing as a successful transaction on their end. Coinbase said they dont support XXXX and could not accept my funds. I asked them to send it back to my XXXX wallet then since XXXX said Coinbase has control of the money right now and they cant reverse the transaction. Coinbase told me they wont release my money and the XXXX had to reverse the transaction. They are both blaming each other and saying the other company can solve the problem. I just want my money back please help.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX at about XXXX hours my coinbase account was hacked. I received a text message with my coinbase verification code. I was using XXXX XXXX for coinbase. Seeing how I was not active at that time i immediately became suspicious. At that time I was able to still log into my account. I logged into my account and while logged in I could see my balances changing right in front of my eyes so my initial reaction was to just sign out. I was hopeful this would also sign out the hackers, Unfortunately I was wrong. Shortly there after I received a slew of emails stating I had transferred a bunch of bitcoin to two different wallets. From XXXX to XXXX there were 8 different transactions sending bitcoin to an outside wallet. One of the XXXX wallet ID 's is as follows. XXXX. Unfortunately I only have the one wallet ID from a screen shot. I never moved the trash emails to my inbox and they automatically deleted after 7 days which I was unaware of. I filed fraud claims with coinbase twice and have the following case numbers. XXXX ( first claim on XXXX ) and XXXX ( filed XX/XX/XXXX ) I immediately took all the steps recommended by coinbase but here I am 9 days later and not a step farther with them. They replied with a generic email but I am still unable to log into my account at all. I locked my account out via their phone system and thought all was well. 3 days later on XX/XX/XXXX I check my bank account and see 7 withdraws from my bank account of {$200.00} each to coinbase that are still pending. I call my bank right away and put a stop payment on all those transactions. They stated i would get my money back but I haven't from the bank yet either. I can't log into my coinbase so I don't really know what my account looks like or there but I assume it's been wiped clean. A quick internet search revealed I am one of many that have fallen victim to a very similar scam. Coinbase customer service is non existent. I don't know what else to do. Please help.
