Consumer Complaint: I recently saw this account added to all three of my credit reports, but have no knowledge and have received no notification of the debt. On my XXXX credit report it is listed twice as a collection and once as an active account in good standing. I don't understand this as I have no contract with this company. I have not received any written notification and have not been provided an opportunity to request verification and/or validation of this debt. I have no contractual agreement with XXXX XXXX at all. They are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act. I have now made disputes through XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. They must validate, verify, prove all debt with 100 % accuracy and they have not. They are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act. XXXX XXXX must provide proof of any debt that I allegedly owe with copies of any contractual agreements bearing my signature. 2 weeks ago I called them asking to see this " collection '' and have yet to receive any information. They indicate I owe {$970.00}, but when I talked to an employee there he said they can lower it to ... so right there, they are reporting wrong. I was never given notice of this collection. I never signed anything with them and I also was not given the 30 day period to respond before the collection was added to my credit reports. It just showed up about 3 weeks ago within a few days of each other, and shows it has been reporting sinceXX/XX/XXXX, which is incorrect as this same debt was being reported by another agency and this was removed from ALL of my credit reports just last month, which means they are stating they were engaged in duplicate reporting. This needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY or as others said, I have no choice, but to sue them and bring them to court. XXXX is in full violation of the law and this needs to be taken today. I am also advising concerns that they do not have my proper info. They were not able to verify my correct address or refused to and wanted me to do so and I have not received any information from them regarding any recent activity from phone calls and or their supposed debt purchase and entry of information onto my credit reports for all 3 reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: As I was monitoring my credit, I simply saw an account pop up from a supposed debt collection agency called XXXX XXXX XXXX. It is a small amount ( {$140.00} ) and I had no idea where it was from or what it was for. They blatantly violated my rights as a consumer and a citizen in that I was never notified of the alleged debt in writing. Furthermore, this exact alleged account was removed from my credit report prior, as it is a totally false, and inaccurate bogus bill from an original utility company ( ( XXXX XXXX ). I was a long standing customer of theirs and NEVER even had a late payment. My credit report shows 100 % on time payment history for every bill Ive ever had. I am no going to have to strongly dispute this negative remark on my XXXX and XXXX credit reports. Lastly, this debt was never verified and I am directly filing a complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX. I do not even know who they are, as I have NEVER received correspondence from them prior. I did contact them directly once when I saw their name pop up on my credit report. I demanded that they remove this unverified amount from my credit report immediately, stating that they never gave me the 30 day legal time frame to dispute any debt. This was to no avail and they proceeded to threaten me. I am asking for the help of the CFPB to discipline and deal with their corrupt business practices. I am well versed in this area of law and know my rights

Consumer Complaint: This " XXXX XXXX '' electric bill originated in XX/XX/XXXX. The supposed current balance is {$560.00}. The statute of limitations in Michigan is 6 years. I have been directed to several companies, and no one has produced any paperwork. XXXX has already approved the dispute and has removed it from my Credit Report. I am just hoping this will encourage XXXX and XXXX to follow suit. For approximately 6 years, I never received any correspondence for this account, nor any calls. This item popped up on my credit report out of the blue over 5 years later in XX/XX/XXXX. I don't feel this is right and given the timing, this item should be removed from all XXXX of my credit reports. Due to the time sensitivity, I am hoping that this will expedite the removal process from the other 2 credit bureaus, XXXX and XXXX. Once again, XXXX has already deleted the item. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: A company by the name of XXXX XXXX, is trying to collect funds from me and I have no business with them. I did not no who they were until I was served a summons and complaint, I then responded and they stated they were trying to collect a debt possibly owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I then sent a request for verification and Validation of the debt to their attorneys office ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). They only sent me computer generated copies of statements that may or may not be accurate. We had a court hearing XX/XX/2018 and we are to return to court for possible trial, in the near future. The attorney sent from the law firm tried to get me to sign off and admit to a debt that I don't owe. She also seem to think my wife and I were not able to understand she was representing XXXX XXXX and she was not the collections agency, but the law firm. XXXX XXXX is trying to get a judgment against me and ruin my credit. Unfortunately for them I will fight this to the end and if this ends up in a much higher court so be it!! They go around purchasing debts that don't belong to them, for near to nothing prices and expecting to collect large amounts of funds, not owed to them.

Consumer Complaint: I received a notice in the mail about a settlement which I agreed and tried to pay but collector then said debt was recalled. Called company and after they knew I agreed to pay they gave to new collector for higher amount, I went inside store and spoke with storemanager XXXX who has notated the account that I came in with cash and tried to pay. He says he see the letter and dont understand why I cant pay it. I had cash in hand and they refused the agreed settlement offer that they made. remove the debt since unfair and unlawful tactics have been used. I was instructed to open business account and have since been getting charges continuously crammed. Only got business account because they wouldnt honor their own settlement offer
