Consumer Complaint: XXXX : Disputed {$430.00} XXXX debt goes to collection, reported as of XX/XX/XXXX XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, assigned to collect, reports debt new as of XX/XX/XXXX When I learned of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . collection, I began disputing the debt as to their date of reporting. Over the next two-plus years, they continued to report the debt as if it were started in XXXX. The credit bureaus allow the collection companies to report the date that they receive the debt, to be the new, " placed for collection date ''. By changing the reported date, it makes a debt appear as if is brand new. The original date was to remain on the credit report as well. This has not been the case. In my circumstance, it appears that XXXX XXXX may be using XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, as it's agent, to extend the SOL or force a settlement. Someone has found a work-around. If each time a collection is resold, the " placed for collection '' date is changed, the credit report will take a substantial hit. A debt in collection that is 3 years old, is now showing on your credit report as a new collection, dated last month. After XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX starting reporting the collection debt as if it were created three years after incurred, creditors began to decline loan applications. They were specific to the new collection. When I disputed the information, both the credit reporting agencies and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX were adamant in keeping with the date. Over the past two-plus years, I have been unable to refinance or obtain a loan at any rate less than 75 %. Credit card advances are the lowest interest of my loans, however, it tends to increase my total card useage. Still, I have maintained a 100 % payment history with all of my credit obligations. My claim today is that, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FRAUDULENTLY, " verified as accurate '', on multiple occassions, that they were the owner of the disputed debt, and during the period, THEY HAD IN FACT SOLD THE DEBT to another collection company. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX does not own the debt. I request that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and any and all information related to them, be removed from my credit history and, that any entity that was provided with my credit report information during the time that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was not the debt owner, be notified of their fraud. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has owned the debt prior to XX/XX/XXXX, and was the owner during the last disputes. Note : The current collection company, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, has sent several " reduced balance opportunities '' that state, " Our client has advised us that they are willing to satisfy your account for ... ... % of your total balance to due to satisfy your past balance total ''. The offer amounts vary with a 40 % of account balance reduced balance of {$170.00} on XX/XX/XXXX and another with a 30 % of account balance reduced balance of {$130.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. If this XXXX XXXX, XXXX does indeed own the debt, and the credit reporting agencies are to be relied upon, then this offer could never have even considered. End Note.

Consumer Complaint: Had an account with XXXX which was charged off during a financially down period shortly after my wife XXXX XXXX to our XXXX child and got behind. When attempted to get back ontrack was notified that the account was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX. While attempting to get on top of my credit I contacted XXXX XXXX who referred me to a 4th party now XXXX XXXX with acct # XXXX XXXX who then acused me when calling them of running and hiding from this debt and that they would mark as a refusal when I asked for a commonly requested settlement for delete off my credit record. The fact that I contacted them to make payment assures I am not running and hiding from this debt and after asking for supervisor was treated even more rudely by him. Telling me he would contact his client who is not even the original creditor that I was refusing to pay since I was not paying until I had assurance of deletion before agreeing to settlement.

Consumer Complaint: Around XX/XX/XXXX due to a credit monitoring service I noticed a fraudulent XXXX XXXX account was opened in my name. I disputed the account with XXXX and the account was removed completely from my credit files. Now a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX has placed a collection on my reports claiming the account was assigned by XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX who reported to me that they removed their tradeline due to fraud. I was advised to file a complaint and submit a dispute. I have yet to receive proper validation required by the FDCRA or received any correspondence regarding they own the debt and proof that the debt belongs to me. The account was just placed on my reports without any notice. I am 100 percent sure there are no such documents because the account is fraudulent.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX incorrectly billed me for cell phone services and refused to correct the bill in XX/XX/XXXX. I refused to pay the ridiculous sum and they would not correct it because the account was already in collections because I was out of the country. In XX/XX/XXXX They then made the first attempts to collect the debt in XX/XX/XXXX and later sold the debt to debt collection agencies. The debt collection agency XXXX XXXX XXXX has RE-AGED the debt to show that it originated on XX/XX/XXXX nearly 4 years after the original date of collection. This is a bold violation of the F.C.R.A, similar companies have been fined {>= $1,000,000} for such violations. XXXX XXXX XXXX I have made every attempt to correct the debt with XXXX XXXX as well as the collection agencies that have held the debt they have expressly refused for 6 years!! Sense they have been unable to collect on the illegitimate debt they have decided to illegally re-age the debt in hopes of either passing it off to another agency, reporting it on their balance sheet or just maliciously harming my credit. I have disputed the debt on my credit report multiple times over a 6 year period, as well as notified the agencies in writing as well as by phone. The violation of my rights by these corporate thugs will no longer be ignored. I intend to exercise my rights to the fullest extent of the law. This is beyond disrespectful and is IN FACT CRIMINAL.
