Consumer Complaint: Good Morning, On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to settle an amount for XXXX dollars for a canceled XXXX XXXX plan. We agreed upon XXXX to settle the account and show it as paid and closed. I paid the agreed upon amount and waited for it to reflect on my credit report. It finally was updated and was removed from my credit report initially. Later I noticed it was on my XXXX Credit report so I disputed it and it was successfully removed on XX/XX/XXXX. Report Number for this is XXXX in reference to account number XXXX with XXXX XXXX. Since this time I have started the process of buying a home and when my credit report was pulled I was shocked to discover that this account was back listed as a collection account with both XXXX and XXXX. I have disputed the account with both and it still hasn't been removed. I then called XXXX XXXX and they had no idea why it was showing on there end as no longer settled and weren't of any help. I then proceeded to go back through my bank statements and find the exact day and time I paid the settled account. There was a phone number listed that didn't match XXXX XXXX so I called it and it was another collection firm. She affirmed to me that I did in fact pay the debt and the amount I have referenced above that for some reason XXXX took back ownership of the account and she doesn't know why. So here I am not knowing " why '' a account I have settled is still showing as unsatisfied. On my bank statement the amount charged to me to settle the account also has XXXX listed so I am upset with this matter. Something is being done wrong and I find it highly offensive that no one seems to know why. How do you lose an account and then magically reopen it back up as not paid?

Consumer Complaint: In 2006 I opened a free checking account with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The problem arose when the account was overdrawn by around {$340.00}, give or take. It did take me 1-2 years ( I was a student at the time, paying my own way for books and tuition, upon working to sustain my other immediate bills ), until I was able to reconcile and close the account with the bank with the full amount that was due. I have not heard anything about this incident until the past 6-9 months. The agency contacting me is XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX, based at XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX. XXXX, MN XXXX. I have not received any type of paper notification from either the bank or this agency, but have recently been receiving phone calls within the correct debtor calling hours as is their right, however, I have repeatedly ( well over 5 times ) asked them to place my number on their " Do Not Call '' list as it is my business number and that this debt was already taken care of well over 10 years ago. I am still receiving phone calls from them stating that they are now wanting to collect on behalf of the bank, but as we know sometimes things get mixed up in the transfer of debtors ' records. I was a XXXX XXXX for a XXXX XXXX XXXX and I know my rights as far as asking them not to call me again, same for not using the number given to them. I want to report them for continued harassment and would very much appreciate someone looking into this for me, as it is now interrupting my business in a negative way ; also in personal ways. I do also intend to notify the agency in writing to the address provided me as per Sub-Section 806 : Communication in Connection with Debt Collection, paragraphs ( a-c ), as stated in the FDCPA. Please let me know at your earliest convenience what we need to do to proceed forward with this complaint. Thank you. Also, I do not have records of this bank or the account number, amount owed, etc. as it was so long ago.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX had submitted a claim to my credit score but I'm out of believe {$2500.00} and they were removed off of my credit last year because it was teams not owed. Between XXXX employee benefits of {$250.00} early termination fee coverage for up to four lines plus we had the bill paid off. also around the same time that we went through bankruptcy so this would have also been included in bankruptcy if there was a balance left. I have attached the bankruptcy document with the list of creditors that were included. when XXXX was removed from my credit they went and turned around and submitted it to another collection agency without listing it as being through them and did not disclose that it was XXXX. I tried repeatedly to get those taken off my credit and claimed that it was on bankruptcy documents and it still has not been removed.

Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to correct this error on my XXXX XXXX XXXX account for over a year. I have paid all outstanding balance on this account but they refuse to remove this data off of my record. Two years ago, we had canceled the service and paid them in full. They still have on record that i owe {$100.00}, which is incorrect.
