I asked them to verify the account In which they sent me a paper showing a breakdown Of costs but nothing with my signature on it or anything. I contacted the bureaus and they keep updating the Jefferson account but wont remove it. I had 2 collection accounts with them they removed only one and not the other.

Consumer Complaint: I received correspondence from several attorneys that Jefferson Capital has filed a civil suit against me. In XX/XX/2019 I disputed an account with Jefferson Capital for a XXXX account they were trying to collect on they failed to prove the account was mines which resulted in the account being removed from all three of the credit Bureau. Since the removal of the account Jefferson Capital have never made any additional attempt to collect on the debt. So on XX/XX/XXXX I received some random mail from several attorneys that Jefferson capital filed a lawsuit against me, I immediately called Jefferson capital and spoke with a representative in the litigation department. When I asked her to explain to me why Im being sued if they removed the account and stopped collected on the account months ago she couldnt answer my questions. She then transferred me to the dispute Dept who I then spoke with a manager who couldnt explained to me why I was being sued if they had stop collecting on the account. The manager then told me she will send a email to the litigation Dept manager to give me a call back as they will be the better Dept to explain to me why Im being sued. No one have called me back. I have called on multiple occasions and spoken to multiple reps who keep transferring me to other departments because no one can answer the question as to why Im being sued. I was even transferred to the direct attorneys voicemail and I left a voicemail for them to call me back and still no one have called me back. On XX/XX/XXXX my wife told me that an officer came to the house looking for me to try give me papers from the lawsuit. I then called Jefferson captial once again and still no one is able to give me any resolution

The credit agency " XXXX '' faced a global security breach, resulting in millions of consumers personal information exposed, my name, birthdate, social, and address were exposed in this breach. As a result of this, I am a victim of identity theft. Under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PROTECTION ACT, I have the right to bring this information forth to a judge in my area to file suit against your company for reporting this fraudulent information. Consumer Complaint: Received multiple harassing phone calls -- 3 in a day, XX/XX/19. I called back because I'm annoyed, the recording asked for me to input my social security number -- which I did not input. I looked the company up, called them, and they again asked for my SSN, which I did not give. Then I told them I was going to report them and I am. They looked up my account with the last 4 of my social and I am not in the system for owing anything. Please investigate them, I can only imagine what they are doing to people who don't know to come to the CFPB. Put Jefferson Capital Systems , LLC out of business.
