Consumer Complaint: I spoke with a supervisor named XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX regarding a debt of {$600.00} which they purchased pennies on a dollar from XXXX. I wanted to talk settlement as I requested she submit in writing the amount of the debt along with an arrangement and to also clear my credit file of such debt. The arrangement paying {$500.00} inlieu of {$600.00} and for them to submit in writing the arrangement. She mentioned they would sue me if I did not pay. I was served with a notice XX/XX/XXXX of a civil suit filed against me which would include fees they accrued from filing. A simple request to someone that was negligent turns into a legal matter as I did not agree on payment or this debt without a written confirmation. Which I never received.
