Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 and I made a phone call to Jefferson Capital systems and I contacted Them in attempts to resolve my past due you debt.I was told that there was an offer for {$420.00} I asked the representative if there was a lower offer and he said yes it is {$300.00} if you pay right now.I said OK fine are you able to email me something stating that this is my settlement offer he stated no I said will how do I know that this is an offer that would resolve my balance he said because I am telling you he then went on to threaten to hang up the phone and not help me I then asked if I could speak to a supervisor and the supervisor than advise me that no yes they can except that but theyre not able to give me any type of correspondence I understand what the companys policy is but as a consumer how do I make a payment when youre telling me that yes I can except this to resolve the debt but I cant give you anything stating that this will resolve the balance but in the past they were able to send me those correspondence so I felt that that practice was deceptive and it was unfair because its not the fact that Ive never received correspondence its the fact that today theyre not able to give me any type of letter stating that this would resolve my account so that makes me feel that they are being deceptive with the statement of allowing me to settle the account for {$300.00}
